I did try to call the DOS but they told me their systems were down and to try calling back later. How long does it usually take to hear back with an interview date?

.

DOS will no longer answer K1 questions, even if their system goes back up. Use the contact form. Tell them the dates you submitted DS-160, Readiness and date of medical and are concerned whether they are waiting on anything from you. Three weeks is not unheard of and given the holidays, it may come this week. Did you give a date that you wish to be married on the readiness form? What date?

Nich-Nick,

Thank you for your reply. We did just send off the contact form, with everything you suggested but the medical date. We did give them a date which we wish to be married, June 19th 2015.

Is that recommended/okay?

Does that help? Cause we keep putting it off to select a date but we would like to do it in June and not July. I hope everyone gets theirs soon and it doesn't take so long in between. I wish that the status information on the website gave more information than it does really. Maybe they do that just to torture us all lol

Yes I know that feeling. And I get so angry and well meaning people telling me all good things come to those that wait etc.. Etc... When they know nothing what being separated like this and waiting feels like. Or the frustration it is as to why we are waiting.

Oh the dreaded "all good things come to those who wait".....if I had a nickel for everytime I've heard that in this process it would've paid for the medical lol

This thread has become my new Facebook

It's nice to be able to have somewhere to go and rant or be excited and know that it's not going to be misinterpreted. We have such a nice little group here. I'm hoping for some more approvals for all those September filers still waiting so we can get more people to join our party.

Well said  It helps to commiserate with those who actually understand what we're going through!

I've had a lot of the don't get your hopes up again ... something else could go wrong from a few of my federal government co-workers who might be tired of hearing me complain, but who unfortunately know how government agencies work

Yes, absolutely and to feel less in the dark about what is going to be happening. At least as far as is possible in a process such as this.

So I just noticed this little tid bit they put on the London Embassy website. So it at least gives us a general idea of where they are at maybe?

"The Immigrant Visa Unit is processing the Notification of Applicant's Readiness forms received on or before April 8"

That's what irritates me about this whole process. There is no rhyme or reason how it's done. Cases on the same day some are moving some not. It makes no sense!

I know- I keep checking to see if yours has been updated because I figure mine should be sent the same time hopefully ? I thought once Deborah's had left that ours wouldn't be far behind....then again I think I'm just used to things not going as planned after being at TSC

Totally agree. I thought y'all would all be the same day as mine or the day after. That's why we all get frustrated cause it doesn't make sense. :/
