What kind of passport photos do you all have for the medicals? James is concerned because he has 4 UK size photos but the website says he needs US size.

The confirmation email got from Knightsbridge says either. You need for US or UK.

Here is the content of the body of the email from them:

*Passport or UK Driving Licence (photocard not paper licence),

*4 X Identical Passport sized photo UK or US size (please note this has recently increased and may not be updated on the online medical packs),

*ACPO Police certificate (or a copy) dated within 12 months for anyone 16 years of age & over,

*Vaccination records- Please provide vaccination proof for the panel to look over on the day, to advise if any further vaccines are needed,

*Completed medical questionnaire (from the US Embassy link above). You must fill out your FULL UK address. Please also bring along a FULL intended US address.

*A Letter/Email from the embassy with your case number and the visa catergory confirmed,

*GP Reports covering any medical conditions, disabilites, prior serious illnesses you have been treated for or anything ongoing. If you are generally fit and well and do not have any of the above then you would not require a full medical history fromm your GP.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL MEDICALS ARE VALID FOR SIX MONTHS ONLY (UNLESS ADVISED OTHERWISE BY KNIGHTSBRIDGE DOCTORS):- You must obtain a visa and travel to the United States within this period or you will need to undergo a new medical at an additional expense.

Please note payment for the medical will need to be paid on the day by cash or card (we do not accept cheque or Amex). if you wish to change or cancel the appointment please allow 3 working days notice to avoid the cancellation fee of £95.

I'll have to look but I thought today it said US but like I said I thought someone else said they weren't picky but I could totally be wrong. But I'll double check sometime today. Also our case just outlet up on website showing at nvc :)

The embassy website definitely says per Department of State Specs. but I knew I had seen it doesn't matter for the medical. He has US ones for the interview. .

And yay!! ours isn't yet. lol not that I'm checking every 15 seconds or anything.

Thank you so much. That is a huge help. He wont even be able to call and schedule until Friday cause bosses at work tomorrow :( but will be a tiny bit less stressed. lol

I think they just use the photos as ID reference for your forms. It's not going into your visa or anything so that's perhaps why they are so relaxed about the format.

Turns out the blip of the CEAC showing my number as invalid was because they were processing it in London!!! It's now Ready! Woooo! However, still waiting for my police certificate, so can't book my medical yet. I got an email about the certificate being processed yesterday - reckon I'd be safe to book my medical for the end of the month?

We were planning on everything being done by 7th May, obviously this isn't going to happen, but I have a trip to the USA booked from 7th May - 4th June (we were supposed to be getting married on 24th May - so still having a big "wedding" then, but just without the marriage certificate, so not legal in the eyes of the law - meaning my K1 is still valid, and then when I go over on my K1 hopefully at the end of June/Beginning of July, we'll go to the courthouse and get officially married), so can't submit my readiness form yet.

Do you think i'll be safe to submit the readiness form around 14th May - as it looks like London are taking a while to arrange interviews?

Any advice would be VERY much appreciated. I'm getting so excited now.

Sweet congrats! And I'm not sure any the dates thing we are hoping by end of may ourselves. But I do know that you should get your police certificate in about a week or so. We did after we got that email.

I am just going to use the number that is on the medical form pdf file that we fill out with the instructions and stuff that were with it.

My case says application error on the website now. Is that what y'all said when it changed or invalid? Lol I think this is an actual website issue though

You can sent your readiness form as soon as you have your date for your medical. I'm sending mine as soon as our case shows as Ready in London. It looks like DHL is expected to delivery it tomorrow, assuming I have the right pack.

Did you submit your DS160 yet? Thinking of doing mine this evening.

Who asked about the Police certificate? If it's a UK one, it is usually back with you within a week. I applied just before Christmas and still had mine in a week, despite the increased volumes straining Royal Mail. I had it returned secure delivery, if that makes a difference so it's a next day postal service from when they issue it. It's valid for 12 months. Do it now so it's ready :)

I'm going to submit my DS160 tonight. I have mostly filled it in at work - do you need to submit a visa style photo for it, or can it be a UK passport style? Does it have to be the same picture as the one being submitted for the visa at interview?
Thing is though, I'm going to be in the USA from 7th May - 5th June, so I can't submit my readiness yet, as they may try to give me an interview during the time I'm in the USA...so I will have to submit it later. Will submitting it while I'm out there be okay? It looks as though they are giving the full 6 weeks from submitting - interview at the moment.
The police cert. is a strange situation - they emailed me yesterday saying they received it on 25/03 but I only got the email yesterday saying they were dealing with it. I got the standard service - so should I expect to wait 10 days from now for it, or 10 days from the 25th...which would make it this week. Obviously I can't arrange for my medical before I have that though. I should have been more organised in getting the police cert. but I got so dragged down with the long wait for the NOA2 I didn't see much point in applying for it earlier. Mistake! But still, it wouldn't have made a difference because even if I had everything ready now, my interview wouldn't be scheduled for before my trip.
