Ours was in AP 3 days (Tues-Thurs) and then was issued on Friday :)

Anyone know how quick the depot notifies you that you can pick up the visa after its issued?

Hope so too. His depot is literally within walking distance, so he will just be going there to pick it up himself.

They send you an email 24 hours before you can pick it up. But I think people have said that once you get an e-mail it'll be there.

I was going to say that some have reported two hours, but didn't want to get your hopes up too much.

Lucky you. Can quit checking. :)

I got my NOA2 on July 24th. When should I be expecting notice that my case was forwarded to the NVC? I got my NOA2 hardcopy and it states that;however, others told me that they don't actually ship it until you recieve an update on the "My Case Status."

If so, when did you guys recieve notice and was it around the same night hours? Between 8-11pm EST?

I had my medical yesterday. Nice bunch of people at Knightsbridge, the doctor was very apologetic about the intrusive questions and of course the dreaded exam but it was all very quick and not bad at all. I didn't see the nurse, while I was seeing the doctor the nurse looked at my vaccinations and market the DS-3025 complete.

My case is currently still in transit but from tracking it on DHL I think it was actually received at the Embassy in London yesterday.

Now I wait, again.

Jumping into this forum...

My K1 case was approved last week and was confirmed as sent to NVC couple days ago.. Any reccomendations as to when to start calling for case number? I was going to call next week tues/wed which would be over a week from it being sent.. Too early?

Also just to confirm, I have all my documents ready and I have had all my immunizations updated (even though only really needed for AOS). Once I get my case number can I schedule a medical? Seems to be the opinion that I should book it for a month from when I make the call. Is that the best option? To make sure London has time to receive my case?

Also seems to be the case that I can start filling in the DS-160 from without my LND case number? Can I? I just want to do as much as possible as early as possible..

Sorry if these were all answered in the discussion, im just reaching out for those who have done it this way

Cheers

Wait two weeks for your case number. It took mine two and a half. Before two weeks is basically just wasting your time. I learned the hard and impatient way haha.

Yes, once you get your case number you should book your medical. Request an appointment kdate three to four weeks later.

For the DS-160 it is recommended that you wait until your case status has changed to "Ready" and is at the embassy before submitting.

If your objective is to hurry it up, then booking the medical a month out is too long. You would do better to wait for "ready" and book an appointment for the next week.

I would say two weeks out is plenty if you are going to break the rules to speed it up.

But two weeks out is risky if London dont receive it in time, no? Or am I confusing things?
