K-1: DO I NEED TO SEND THE I-130

Hello,

Im a little confused! I just married on a K1 and we are starting our journey for AOS.

Is the I130 needed? has to be sent at the same time I485?

and as I entered US on JFK- New York I received work authorization.. Do I have to file again for it along with the AOS package?

oh and please! what AP means?

No, the I-130 isn't required for a K-1 AOS package.

Yes, you will need to submit an I-765 for work authorization after your K-1 90-day period expires. Note that it isn't likely you will receive the EAD by the time your 90 days expires so there could be a lapse in work authorization.

AP in your case probably means Advance Parole (I-131). It is optional, but you will need it if you plan to leave the US and re-enter before your AOS is adjudicated and Green Card received.
