Thanks!! Just under 2 weeks away, excited but also nervous, so afraid of my brain going blank when I start getting asked the questions and praying it does not snow anymore until after I am done.

My mind went blank several times. My advice is to repeat the question yourself or ask the interviewer to repeat it. It bought me time to recalibrate and answer properly. They know it's a stressful situation.

Another thing I noticed is the long moments of silence when interviewer was taking notes, looking at the computer or going through the massive folder. Resist the urge to indulge in idle banter. I just sat there through the awkward silence till I was asked another question.

Congratulations!

That's the second month in a row where Houston has deviated from the usual practice of scheduling the oath ceremony on the third or fourth Wednesday of the month. The January and February 2016 ceremonies both fall on Thursdays. It'll be interesting to see if they stick with this change.

Made it to my interview. Everything went great!! Got there 15 mins early, checked in and the IO promptly took me at 8am. She was very happy and friendly, we laughed a lot while talking during the interview. The questions that I was asked (that part went faster and easier than I thought, I was answering questions when she was barely done asking)

-If the President and Vice President can no longer serve who becomes President?

-We elect a US Senator for how many years?

-What does the President's cabinet do?

-Name one part or branch of the US Government

-How many justices are on the Supreme Court?

-What did the Declaration of Independence do?

The interview did not take more than 10 mins and I was recommended for approval, she said my Oath would most likely be by March, so we shall see, back to the waiting game, but at least that part is over so so so happy, good luck to everyone who still has upcoming interviews. I will update when I get the Oath letter.

Thank you Dario, it was the first thing I did when I woke up this morning, was not making the 3 hour drive without checking first lol. Turns out I had nothing to worry about, the IO told me they didn't even close a couple weeks ago with the huge snowstorm we got, I worried about nothing But it was so worth it!!

Good stuff. The last mile remains. Hard to believe but waiting for the oath ceremony is proving to be as annoying as waiting for the interview. Who would have thunk it?

I will be celebrating this weekend, my mother in law has set up a get together with family to celebrate and the hubby treated me and the kids to a nice dinner tonight. For my oath, the IO said she will expedite it to be scheduled asap since my oldest son will derive citizenship through me and he turns 18 at the end of March, got my fingers crossed.

Also for anyone who goes through the Philly office, now or in the future, I was told today they do Administrative ceremonies every Monday and Friday, hopefully that helps anybody wondering. Also know that according to the weather channel, every single Monday and Friday left in February they are calling for snow
