just call the hotline and ask to speak to tier 2 officer. he will tell you when the ceremony is.

Just called USCIS as I was getting anxious about my Oath Ceremony Date given I need to plan some travel. Spoke to Tier 2 Officer (very helpful) who was able to confirmed it's scheduled for 09.10.

Helpful to know the date once it's been scheduled without having to wait for the notice to arrive

I was successful in finding out the date by calling hotline one day after the online status updated - took 3 attempts to eventually get through to a helpful tier 2 officer, so it's worth another try.

Quick question..

I just got my in line for oath ceremony. I was thinking maybe I'll get the last Wednesday of September. If that's the case, how long does the oath ceremony last? I have travel plans to Colorado 7pm that same Wednesday, so IF i do get scheduled on sept.30, will i be able to get to my flight or its better to just Reschedule?

Usually the oath ceremonies are in morning or noon. It usually gets over in 2/3 hours depending on number of oath takers. But within 3 hours at max you should have your certificate in hand.

I was worried there for a minute since i didn't really want to postpone anything, i want this to be over as soon as possible.. :)

I do hope i get scheduled 3rd Wednesday instead of last wednesday.. :)

The Orlando Field Office has Judicial Ceremonies on a monthly basis and Administrative Ceremonies on a weekly basis.

:joy::joy::joy::joy::joy: The Journey has come to an end. I am now a US Citizen, Oath Ceremony was relately small like 50+ new Citizens. There was a Judge, a Congressman, among other well known US Officials. Everything went smoothly, received my certificate and resgistered to vote before I left. One question though. When do I sign the certificate at the top? there's already one by the photograph. Everyone scattered after we received our certificate so I wasn't sure if I had to sign anything before leaving the premises. :joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:

I got the Oath Ceremony letter on August 24th, 2015 and it's scheduled for September 9, 2015 at 8:30 am in Central Islip, NY. Thank God I didn't have to move the date because I'm going to Canada for Labor Day Weekend.and I need my GC to cross the border. I'm exited!!! ???

I have a question about Infopass.

So I am still stuck at the stage after FP. No inline, no interview notice. Nothing yet.

But I finally get a chance to make an appointment for my local office (NYC) on infopass.

Just wonder if anyone has prior experience? What should I expect? And how should I ask questions to make the best use of it learning how much longer I will need to wait?

Waiting itself might not have been that much of an issue. It was really the timeline uncertainty which really bugs me. Can't plan anything just being the case is hung up there.

I have a question about Infopass.

So I am still stuck at the stage after FP. No inline, no interview notice. Nothing yet.

But I finally get a chance to make an appointment for my local office (NYC) on infopass.

Just wonder if anyone has prior experience? What should I expect? And how should I ask questions to make the best use of it learning how much longer I will need to wait?

Waiting itself might not have been that much of an issue. It was really the timeline uncertainty which really bugs me. Can't plan anything just being the case is hung up there.

I wish I could offer help on the infopass appt. I have never had one myself. I do wish you all the best though and hope you can get some kind of an answer other than "just wait", keep us posted :)

As usual, I was asked to wait till Sept 15th. And, then only they can open a service request. If you can figure out the InfoPass stuff please post the steps. I am just fed up with this process.

Same here. I so regret not not having moved back to NJ (Coincidentally I was from EB! :joy: ). At least NJ gives 5 month timeframe.

When I called them today, they only told me that up to mid-August, their processing time was still at December last year, which means nothing moved on from the end of June based on the data online.

I personally think waiting itself it not too much an issue, and I can totally understand since NYC/greater New York is a busier office. But the uncertain timeline really annoys me. Can't even plan a trip to California because I never know when they would all over a sudden give me an interview and I won't want to pay fees to change my flights or hotels.

And I think it is extremely unfair that people apply after me get scheduled way earlier than me. If everyone is slow, it's fine. Even for people who apply in the same month to get a progress within one month difference, I would still think it's reasonable.

But for people who applied after me got way ahead of me in the progress now, I think it's super unreasonable. We all pay the same fee. I didn't pay a penny less, why is my case delayed? :angry:
