Completed oath ceremony today. Time was 8.30 am, took actual oath at 10.20 am with 500 other people in a school auditorium. Took Another hour to get naturalization certificate. Finally the journey is over after 14 years, after first entry into the US.

Finally after 14 years i can say i am US Citizen the ceremony went well and lasted for 2 hours at the end 498 new citizens were welcomed from 82 countries. Thanks to all of your support and help i wish you all the best and hope you will be there soon.

Thanks Kash2011. Congrats VArecident and futureCitizen. I went to the passport agency to apply for passport, had a very unplasant experience, I ended up complaining to the supervisor about the agent bad service and misconduct , I felt that I was doing a crime because I am applying for a passport.

day 1 -- 04/11/2012-- package sent to Chicago

day 2 -- 04/12/2012-- package was received.

day 43-- 05/23/2012-- Notice for an interview is received for 06/26 @ 2pm

day 63-- 06/12/2012-- Received a Text & email for an update- Card production EAD/AP

day 77-- 06/26/2012-- interview / approved on the spot.

day 86-- 07/05/2012-- Received my GC in the mail.

day 1 -- 04/07/2014 -- ROC Package delivered to VSC

day 16 -- 04/23/2014 -- Walk-in Bio.

Wow, Just received the Oath letter. I had the interview last Friday, and today I received the letter, and the oath day is next week!, on Tuesday August 4th!!!!! (Irving TX - Dallas main office)

It says:

You are scheduled to appear for a Naturalization Oath Ceremony on Tuesday August 4th 8:30 am!!!

I can't believe it was that fast!!

I just got a email from USCIS my Oath Ceremony have been scheduled. Thanks for those who replied to my concern and special thanks to Kash2011 for updating my timeline throughout the process. I AM SOOOOOOOO EXCITEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!! I cried in my car after the Interview when I saw passed test but couldn't make a decision. :) Happy ceremony everyone!!!

Thanks Kash2011. Congrats VArecident and futureCitizen. I went to the passport agency to apply for passport, had a very unplasant experience, I ended up complaining to the supervisor about the agent bad service and misconduct , I felt that I was doing a crime because I am applying for a passport.

Congrats to you too! Would you mind telling why the passport agent gave you hard time? Was it at DoS? I am planning to go to Merrifield post office this Saturday for applying passport.

This sounds weird as dchamero stated above. More so, I won't trust the online system but sanil1986 had a similar response at his/her interview site.

I still have a question about this next step thing on the uscis page. did anybody got them or just me? Am in virginia and i had my interview in the fairfax office last week. after the interview it changed to this. I already feel it taking long? or this particular office slow on ceremonies?
