I called and they just told me according to the website NYC processing time is only at Nov 2014 applicant now, and asked me to keep waiting.

It's just based on the updates here in the forum many of our fellow NYC applicants are getting scheduled interviews, now I started to be nervous...

much congratulations everybody who are done with the interview and waiting for their oath ceremonies. My interview is next week and I'm wondering about one thing:

During the interview, were any of you asked for an ID other than the green card and the passport? It is written on the interview letter that applicants must bring the permanent resident card and another form of ID such as a driver's license. I don't have another form of ID except for the passport and Green Card so I'm wondering if that is really considered important.

My tracker info needs to be updated. received interview notice June 28 , had interview July 29.

Truthfully, unless you have some weird immigration history , this is less nerve-braking than we make it out to be. I was really anxious to a point that i gave my file to a lawyer to handle but it wasn't needed.

My interview was at 11 in NYC , was there by 10:45. Was called in a little before 11:30. I was interviewed by around middle age man who was nice, professional and very patient. So it's the usual, you are sworn in before you start, since i am doing it based on 3 yrs rule, he requested to see all documents on marriage ( i had a thick package of everything i can think of). He first started with the questions (how many senators, when constitution was written, what ocean on the west coast). Can't remember the other 3, it was so fast, i think we did the q&a in no more than 1m. You write a sentence .

Then he went thru my application but he had my entire immigration file which dates back over 20 yrs ( i got worried there for a moment) but that was it. makes sure you bring all your passports (expired or not).

He recommended me for approval but said if approval goes thru it will be about 2 months to get oat letter. Don't know why this long? does it usually take that long?

I called the 800 number to get an update. I was able to get xferred to Tier 2 immigration officer. The officer told me my office is currently processing applications from January 2015. So will have to wait some more to be scheduled for interview. It's some kind of relief in a way, at least I know what the timeline is.

I had already set up an Infopass for August 5th. Should I keep it and go in person at my field office too, or cancel it?

Yes, I showed my drivers license, I think that it is because it has your address and your name (I also showed him my social security card as well)

You don't have any other form of ID?

No I don't. You don't need a car in NYC so I never bothered to get a DL (especially that the procedure is not as simple as in other states).

Is the passport photo sent with an application used for the naturalization certificate, since they ask us to sign it, or is the biometric photo used? Just curious to know from those who've already had their oath ceremony.

When did you get married to your ex? How did you apply for citizenship- through the 5 year residency year rule?

11/22/2008 and I applied based on 5 years residency. He said he didn't like the fact that I got my conditional GC removed in may 2011 and we were divorced in November 2011.

If you've done the Biometrics already, then nothing else but wait until you either get an update for "In-line to be scheduled for interview" or a physical interview letter and an online update of "scheduled for interview".

The wait sucks, but I'm guessing background checks can take a while; it's the longest part of the entire process for the most part.

My fiancé is waiting too. And it's already 4 months since he sent his packet and some people here are already done with the interview. It gets so frustrating. Maybe you should call USCIS or make an appointment with the field office

Yes, I'm still waiting since Biometrics since 5/12. I hear you, and it's definitely frustrating. Hopefully we get our turn soon, and no further delays after the interview.
