Quick question though,

I tries to call the USCIS number and I tries to put in my receipt number. the voice system keeps telling me that i don't have enough numbers. Is this a normal thing and I'll really just have to wait for the interview notice in the mail or can I just call them and ask for my interview schedule? It's only been 4 days since I got my e-mail notice but I'm really worried that the notice ended up lost in the mail just like my NOA..

I am still waiting. Do you mean your wife was scheduled for Oath ? Give them a call and ask to speak to a tier 2 person, and he would be able to tell you the last progress on your case

Just wanted to finally put my information just in case it could be useful to another person

Boston Ma, Field Office

07.05.12 -GC issued

04.17.15- Sent N400 Application

04.23.15- N400 accepted

05.18.15- Biometrics (Early)

06.05.15- Email notification the interviewed scheduled

07.14.15- Interviewed and Recommended for Approval ( everything stamped and dated in my file and approved in front of me

Interview

I reached my appointment a little late as I always get lost in the city maybe 9:15 for my 9 am appointment. I actually was so calm due to all the rushing and being lost my mind was not occupied and over processing. It was okay that I was late as they were still a lot of interviewees still in the lobby with earlier appointment times, waiting to be called. After maybe 10 mins of waiting I got called in. My Officer was very relaxed, I was even telling him how I got lost and how I always got lost in the city. He swore me in and then asked for my passport, DL & greencard. He questioned me about my DL a little because I have an out of state DL with my current address on it. I told him this is how the DMV gave it to me when I did change of address. Then he asked me if I am ready and I said as ready as I will ever be. I actually did the writing part 1st- Citizens can Vote, then Read- Who can vote.

The questions followed which I don't remember all 6 but here goes

What is the highest court.

Who was brought to American as slaves

Who is the VP now

Why did he colonist fight the british

and 2 others ....I got all right, then we went over the application. He made a couple corrections, as I made errors on the form and then paper came printing, he asked me to verify my name and DOB and sign and said this is what would be on my certificate. Then he handed me a paper that said I had been approved and he followed me to the exit.

By 10 am I was out the building, on my way home. He also did not ask me for any additional information. The entire interview seemed like a conversation and very relaxed. Now to just patiently wait for the Oath ceremony, which I forgot to ask when would the next one would be.

Hope this helps...Almost over

Thanks DC85. Just called and talked to a level 2 officer. He put me on hold for some time and then confirmed that I too have been scheduled for oath, and said that sometimes the notification systems doesn't work correctly. He asked me to wait for 10 more days to receive the notice, else they would fax it to me.

My assigned oath ceremony time was today at 11:30am in Cleveland, but I wanted to try my luck at the earlier ceremony at 9:00am. I arrived at the courthouse at 8:40 and asked if I could go earlier and they added me onto the list for 9:00!

It ended around 9:50 and I drove to the airport to catch a flight to Chicago at noon. I made my way downtown to the passport agency and got my passport for an international flight on Sunday. What a day! I'm really grateful of how accomodating the staff were!

Best of luck to everyone - hopefully it'll all be over soon!
