So I'm getting near my filing date and I'm collecting more and more and more pages! I was wondering if any of you had advice on how to index the pages, add tabs, and keep the whole thing together (binders or such) I'm aiming to get everything as organized possible so I can see everything well before I send it off and they can find things easily when they get it. Thanks for your advice

PS: Did any of you get nervous and antsy in the days before you filed? I've had all these nervous habits lately since I'm so conerned about making it perfect, lol!

01/28/07 - Joined VJ

01/29/07 - Began gathering neccessary information and attachments for I-129F form:

02/07/07 - Recieved signed documents from Rob to be sent with the I-129F

02/16/07 - I-129F packet sent to Nebraska Service Center

02/21/07 - I-129F packet recieved at NSC at 7:56 am

03/01/07 - Recieved packet back from CSC - check dated wrong! (2006, not 2007)

03/01/07 - Sent packet off again - directly to CSC this time

03/05/07 - Case recieved and dated.

03/06/07 - Check cashed and number recieved!

03/09/07 - Touched

05/18/07 - Touched and approved! 78 days in all!

05/21/07 - Confirmation e-mail recieved!

05/28/07 - Hard Copy of approval recieved.

06/01/07 - Recieved at National Visa Center and letter sent.

06/06/07 - Letter notifcation sent (in time for my fiance's birthday!)

06/12/07 - Packet 3 received by fiance.

06/13/07 - Initial form sent off.

06/21/07 - Police interview

06/21/07 - Packet 3 expressed to Sydney

06/22/07 - Medical

07/02/07 - Packet 4 and interview date recieved! Interview is:

07/18/07 - Interview in Sydney! - Approved!

07/19/07 - I get to see Rob again!

08/06/07 - I fly back to the states to plan a wedding and prepare for him to move over.

09/10/07 - Rob enters the US via JFK in NY

09/28/07 - Our Marriage

I think I read somewhere, no matter how you assemble it, they break it apart and arrange it they way they want it.

Staples has a report notebook that clamps the edge of the papers into a group. A steel camlock, spring-loaded clamp and clear plastic cover. I made a contents index sheet.

2-2-07 Sent I-129F to NSC

2-6-07 NSC received USPS mail, NSC then to CSC

2-15-07 NOA1 -file received

2-16-07 check cashed

2-23-07 touched

5-4-07 NOA2 approval -email

5-13-07 sent cancellation request letter

6-7-07 we're going to retry with a K-3

8-6-07 married in Thailand (dual language, dual representation prenuptial)

8-7-07 sent K3 from Bangkok

9-10-07 I-130 NOA1, (received at CSC 8-9-07)

10-9-07 sent I-129F to CSC

11-1-07 touched I-130

requested consular processing I-130 (http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/PN_i-129f.pdf)

9-13-07 I-129F for Spouse arrived CSC via USPS return rcpt. requested

4-1-08 NOA2 for K3 (I-134 supposed to be processed but processed I-129F instead)

7-11-08 interview Bangkok, passed.

7-16-08 POE arrival, 2 hours in Seattle Customs.

AOS I-486 sent 4-4-09

AOS NOA1 4-13-09 for all; I-485, I-131, I765

RFE 4-27-09 Thai official document in lieu of original Birth Certificate not sufficient???

Infopass appointment 5-26-09 at USCIS. Officer thought our doc was valid and doesn't know why the RFE.

7-28-09 EAD and AP sent

Social Security card 8-4-09

interview 9-10-09

10 year green card expires 9-17-19, Permanent Resident Card.

Resident since 9-10-09.

I'm sure they will! I just want to get thing organized in such a way that they can easily find what they need :)

Thanks for the tip! I saw it mentioned that a two-hole punch at the top is helpful for them... is that true?

One more question... did you use ziplock bags for your pictures or something else?

We were pretty simple about it, just used paper clips because we figured they would rearrange everything anyway. We did put the photos in the ziplock bags, though.

01/29/2007 NOA1!

02/26/2007 Became officially engaged in Rome:)

05/03/2007 NOA2!!!

07/20/2007 Visa Interview in London! Approved!!

10/04/2007 Small private wedding!

04/19/2008 Big fancy shmancy wedding!

AOS Timeline:

10/18/2007 Sent entire AOS, EAD, AP package to Chicago

10/19/2007 Package received in Chicago- signed for by V Bustamante

10/25/2007 NOA1 for AOS, EAD, and AP.

10/26/2007 Check cashed.

11/28/2007 Biometrics appointment in Denver.

12/17/2007 EAD card production ordered!

12/27/2007 EAD card arrives.

12/31/2007 AP approved.

01/07/2008 AP received.

02/01/2008 AOS interview in Denver. APPROVED!

02/11/2008 Green Card received in mail!

Done until July 09' !
