Greetings,

I know this question maybe redundant but I am just wondering how long does it take you guys to get the green card after you got approved during your AOS interview. I have look into some members' timelines and it seems like it could take 6 days, 9 days, 10 days or even a month to touch the green card.

And also, from interview approval to green card, does the online case status always work like this:

Day--: Interview, approved, Case status changed

Day--: Card is ordered, Welcome Notice mailed <------ is there any difference between "card is ordered" and "card in production" ?

Day--: Card is picked up by USPS, tracking number will follow <----- does this status always show up on the online USCIS system?

Day--: Green card on hand

Thanks everyone in advance

Thanks everyone in advance

*** Thread moved from "AOS from WS&T Visas" main forum to the Case Progress subforum. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

We got approved last thursday-03/19, the IO gave us an Approval Notification (hand delivered at time of interview). :)On the way home, Uscis updated for I-485 and I-130

"Welcome Notice Was Mailed

On March 19, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number MSC1. Please follow the instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by May 18, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

"Case Was Approved

On March 19, 2015, we approved your Form I-130, Immigrant Petition for Relative, Fiance(E), or Orphan, Receipt Number MSC1. We will mail your approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

Then the cases status remains the same since, no CPO or tracking number:(.

mel_cbd: Congrats on your getting approval. I had the interview on Mar 18 (1 day earlier than you) and was also approved on the spot. However, I did not receive any paper or stamp from the IO. I got my Welcome notice in the mail on Tuesday. Online status has not been change since then and they are the same as yours.

I am in need of a proof to show my permanent resident status (obviously the Welcome Notice is not adequate) so I am wondering if there is any possible way we can do to inquire about the status of card production? I am thinking of Infopass.

Thoughts anyone?

@ adam: Wow, we are almost in the same boat. I had the approval paper from the IO but not stamp and the welcome notice was delivered yesterday. USCIS just updated 10' ago saying "Card Was Mailed To Me", but no tracking number  .

Hang in there my friend, you will get your soon.

Same thing for me , on March 26th i had my interview and i got approved , the officer gave us the approved letter and he said he would order my green card after we would walk out, no updates on that day , next day on 27th i got one email-txt for i-130 that i got approved and one email-txt for i-485 decision : they mailed me my welcome notice and since then i got no news , my status online didn't change to CPO and i haven't receive nothing on the mail...i don't know if this is normal or if something is wrong :/
