Hello everyone,

I would like to ask you if it's safe to travel to southern Africa/Madagaskar right before moving to the US?

I'm currently on K-1 and never been in US before. I have doubts myself since I'm living in Europe and I know there are many diseases in Africa that do not occur in Europe. I'm already after my K-1 interview and medical examinations and therefore I filled all the forms where they require you to list all the countries that you have visited in your past. For that reason I'm not sure if it's safe. Any advices would be highly appreciated.

Cheers~

You can do it, since you already are done with the process of getting a K1 visa and probably have gotten a visa. Your visa is valid for about half a year (before entry to the USA) and you can do whatever you wish in the meantime. So if you want to go to Africa, you are absolutely free to do so.
