I know the feeling. Last time I tried to walk into a church I burst into flames; my suit completely ruined.

Really? Okay, let's go:

1. Show me the link that says there are 10's of millions of these "radical" followers. Between ISIS and Al Qaeda combined it's about 50,000. And that's total for all states. The US has 6.67 million Muslims, yet how many attacks have been carried out here in the last 20 years? It's funny because if we compared how great it is somewhere else that has no guns, it doesn't count or we're told to go live there. But you want to focus on things over there to justify your bigotry against Muslims. Get back to me on that.

2. Hate to break it to you, but Radical "Christianity" here is far more a threat. This country identifies itself as a Christian nation. 78.4% to be sure:

http://religions.pewforum.org/reports

That means those people who go on rampages or just kill for no reason, identify as Christians. So, just to be sure, you said you're more worried about black youth because they kill in disproportionate numbers to our population, but you're going to spend your energy watching a population of people here that make up less than 3% of killings because of what's happening somewhere else?

This country has it shares of nutjobs. People use their faith to excuse the hatred they want to project. You want to look for a blight? Not to hard to find, but you want it to look different than you, that's the issue.

So there are only 50,000 radical Muslims in the world.. Oh dear god.

I'll break it down for you. How many "radical" Muslims are in the US?

After a measurement system is applied, there are a lot more folks now living in the USA who identify with radical islam than CNN is telling. Note that it's more than a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.

Radical Islam Needs Clear Definition
Since Sept. 11, many in the Unites States and all over the world have discussed the issue of radical Islam without clearly defining it. Failure to do so can be catastrophic as it may lead us to label “radical” Islamic groups as “moderate,” and vice versa. If a radical Islamic group is called “moderate” we will miss the extreme elements within our society that can breed terrorism. Furthermore, we may unknowingly support radical Islamic organizations under the assumption that they are “moderates."
Society can argue at length about relative issues until parameters for measurement are settled. For example, it is difficult to determine if the pyramids of Egypt are big or small without defining in numerical values such as cubic meters what qualifies as “big” or “small.” The same principle has to be applied to define “radical” and “moderate” Islam, otherwise our discussions will result in endless debates.
Currently, we have two opposing views. Some argue that Islam is a religion of peace and that Islamic Shariah law is “peaceful.” Others argue that it is not. This endless argument has caused division within the Western world and will continue to do so until we set clear definitions and parameters for the terms and expressions that we use.
I suggest the simple ABC’s test to resolve the debate. The question is simple: Should we consider those who promote and accept the following teaching as radicals or moderates?
  • Apostate killing.
  • Barbaric treatment of women: Beating women, the practice of polygamy, and the stoning of women until death for adultery.
  • Calling Jews pigs and monkeys.
  • Declaring wars on non-Muslims to spread Islam after offering non-Muslims three options: subjugate to Islam, pay jizia (a humiliating tax), or be killed.
  • Enslavement of other human beings (modern day slavery).
  • Fighting and killing Jews before “end days.”
  • Gay discrimination and hostility.
Once these measurements are applied, it will be much easier to qualify any given Islamic teaching or organization.
If an Islamic organization or a scholar refuses to clearly and unambiguously stand against the above radical teaching, it will not take much calculation to determine if the organization or the scholars involved are truly moderates or radicals.
Lastly, those who believe that Shariah law is peaceful must be able to provide evidence through approved Shariah books that firmly stand against, or at least do not promote, the above “radical” concepts.
The simple ABC’s test for radical Islam can end this seemingly everlasting debate over the peaceful nature of Islamic Shariah law and the moderate to radical leanings of most Muslims.
Applying scientific measures and clear parameters to evaluate radical Islam is fundamental to understanding these questions. It is also a crucial first step in finding suitable solutions.

Thank you for posting this so we can more carefully discern how to identify a Radical Muslim. We can take this one qualifier:

"Gay discrimination and hostility"

and quickly identify some prominent American Radical Muslims

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.
