Tax forms and bank accounts

I am not really sure about this. Me and my fiance' will be filing for the k1 visa and I know the tax papers don't come until down the road but I want to be prepared.

I am currently unemployed and have been for 2 years. Although I will have a job in 3 months when I return from Denmark from visiting my fiance'. Since I don't have proof of 3 tax years what do I do? Also my bank account will be positively abysmal!

I have enlisted a joint sponsor (which I obviously need) but he doesn't have a bank account. But he makes enough to support 5 people if he wanted. Any suggestions on that? And also what tax forms does he need? It's a tad bit ambiguous to me. There are different tax transcripts you can request.

Any help would be wonderful! Thanks so much!

You definitely need someone to sponsor you and the beneficiary. The sponsor will probably be required to show the most recent years tax return, possibly the most recent 3 years tax returns & W-2s. The different Tax transcripts are based on what the sponser filed. If he filed 1040EZ or 1040 or 1040A, he should know and that's what he'd request. It's hard to believe that a person earning $24,130 (poverty level for 5) has no bank account.

Make sure your Fiancee knows and understands your financial situation before she moves to the US. A problem with finances can often take the life out of a relationship by the stress it creates. She will already be trying to adapt to life in the US. You add in no money to do anything or to go anywhere and all of a sudden, life in the US is not a pretty picture. Talk to her.

Wow I was off on how my much my sponsor can support. My sponsor is my brother he earns 34k a year he has no problem whatsoever sponsoring my fiance'. He doesn't believe in havinga bank account for some unknown reasoning. But it's his choice and it is what it is. Thank you for your advice it was much needed and very kind. I am very thankfu you took the time to answer me.

But it's for lack of doing so that I don't have a job. It's because my parents on their own a very well off and I didn't need a job they supported me. So there won't be a financial situation when he comes here. I just need to make sure I can get him here with what I have to prove. Thank you respectively. But you aswered something that didn't pertain to my questioning and kinda made me feel bad.

Sorry, I don't know your total situation nor could I have known that your family is very well off and they take care of you. So my response is an all inclusive one. If things don't apply, just ignore them. Please don't feel bad. I'm not here making judgements or personal attacks. Just trying to give as complete an answer as possible.
