thanks Sammyann..... :)

Quick Question peeps.....

Do you know the email address I should use to contact the Montreal Consulate?? Or should I use their online contact form? or both ;)

I got my medical booked for 6/16 (yay!) so I want to try to request an earlier interview date... even if it can get bumped up by a week that would resolve a lot of headaches ;) LOL

Thanks!!

They responded within a day or so to both emails I sent via the online contact form. So I would suggest that instead of emailing that Montreal IV email, that one never got responded to.

I just sent in the request via the online form.... hoping there was enough groveling without flat-out begging ;)

***fingers crossed***

Congrats, mag!!!!

I'm at Pearson waiting for my flight. POE went smoothly. TSA sucked with the cat as iI hadto remove him from the carrier. And once we were through, he was so upset by having been manhandled that he voided his bowels. I cleaned him up in the bathroom, but he is a very, very, very sad cat who will have to have a full bath when we get home.

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

March 13, 2014 Married!

May 9, 2014: Petition mailed to USCIS

May 12, 2014: NOA1.
October 27, 2014: NOA2. (5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day after NOA1)
October 31, 2014: USCIS ships file to NVC (five days after NOA2) Happy Halloween for us!

November 18, 2014: NVC receives our case (22 days after NOA2)

December 17, 2014: NVC generates case number (50 days after NOA2)

December 19, 2014: Receive AOS bill, DS-261. Submit DS-261 (52 days after NOA2)

December 20, 2014: Pay AOS Fee

January 7, 2015: Receive, pay IV Fee

January 10, 2015: Complete DS-260

Thanks:) I am so sorry about your kitty - cats are not travellers!! I am going to have to figure out what to do with my own. We are thinking of sending her ahead on a plane - better than a few days in the car, I think. Happy and safe travels to you!!

I am afraid to type this in case they can take it away but it says issued. It finally says issued. Thank god. I am sitting here crying and feeling slightly nauseous, but this means (hopefully) that my mid June POE is still on.

Thank you so much for being here for me. My husband, as amazing as he is, did not understand the sense of despair I felt watching everyone else get issued. I cannot tell you how much you all have helped. Thank you.

Congrats on the easy POE! I'm so sorry about your little kitty, but hopefully he will settle in quickly to his new life in the South.

We have arrived in Charlotte! It was a long 4 days of driving (in almost ALL rainy weather) but we are finally finally here. Our little doggy is even doing better than we expected. It feels so good to be home.
