My husband couldnt come but he was freaking out - lol, and he does not freak out as a rule. We were in there SO late that he said he thought I either passed out (???) or lost it on them and was in jail hehe. Those were his only two options;)

Omg maybe it is a Taurus thing because I was freaking out that I was going to pass out, get taken to a hospital and Mr wouldn't know where I was when he came out. Your poor husband.

I'm thinking maybe it says 'ready' still because it's a Friday? And that it'll be issued on Monday.

Hello all,

Congrats to everyone that got approved.

I have been reading a lot of this thread (torturing myself maybe since we are still waiting to get NOA2) and was just wondering if EP has gotten any better? It seems from here maybe it has? I know that nvc currently seems completely broken as everyone is having issues with the site. Just trying to see what we should do as I'm hoping we are approved in a little over a month and onto NVC. I don't know if it will happen but I'm hoping for an interview in November maybe....or sooner! Never know! Trying to be positive.

Thanks!

Hello all,

hi brentos,

i'm sure your following

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/546619-scan-datescase-completeinterview-thread/

but if not, you might want to have a look. This thread is not country specific but will give you a good idea if you wish to go EP or mail/courier once you get your NOA2. There was a time where snail mail was like a 25-31 day approval after scan date and those, like me, who EP were screaming!!! Remember once you EP you cannot change the process, so if you get a checklist you will need to EP the documents. People on this thread usually are pretty savvy and can give you a good indication...why not make a post to ask?

things with immigration, whether it be uscis or nvc, in my opinion will always appear to be broken as situations/needs change all the time. For example, our case arrived at uscis months after the philippine crisis (think it was typhoon haiyan) and we struggled with those cases being expedited and our sitting (but we were not alone). another example was nsc and tsc were swamped with applications and taking their sweet old time with them while csc was much faster and far less busy. in fact, many cases were transferred out of nsc and sent to csc for quicker processing. i believe uscis and nvc do try to process quickly but when loads/demands change they may not be able to make the changes needed because they are government agencies.

when we put in our app in late jan/14 we seriously expected to be done uscis by june/july, finished with nvc by dec/jan and POE by feb/15. well, may is almost over and i still don't have the visa in passport (well should be there by month's end, fingers crossed). and these were generous expectations. we did k1 the process back in 2011 and sailed through with an approval but cancelled it after researching my pension (long story) so we knew we were good to go and with passing it once (they had all our docs) we figured the second time would be a breeze. not so.

we counted our chickens before they were hatched--not a great idea with immigration. one never knows what goes on. as transparent as they have to be, they aren't.

keep your optimism as it is this that will pull you through the trying times. few seem to pass through this without hickups, so it best be keep those synergies and aim for november and be pleasantly surprised if it happens. if it doesn't, know that your NOA2, cc, medical, and interview approval are coming and they're just around 'some' corner.

good luck!

ps, at this point its a good idea to add a signature timeline, it helps people when giving advice. go into my settings, then signature to add one.
