Yeah, I heard about the strikes - I grew up in the good ole Durham region:) Oshawa girl through and through hehe. Too bad for the kids though.

You do 34 hours jacked up on sugar!! And after hour 16 or so, you are so high on adrenaline you feel nothing;)

yah its hard on the kids, especially those in gr 12 academic. hopefully uni's will have mercy on these kids. for the work i do, the bs and the work i do off site I'm totally for it. i work hard and my job is 24/7. some might not think this and they need to walk in my shoes. just wish ottawa would strike asap...bet there'd be action!! well that's my rant.

guess there wasn't any news today. i called and got a good rep. no news though. sad..

curious in knowing what you do m2929....i'm wacking my brain and just can't figure it out...

I had the same problem and using this form helped! Problem solved in 2 days.

Also, those who have CC and wait for P4, go ahead and do your medical exams, and if possible send them to the Embassies. This may help.

K, I did it.....and my husband is also going to do it. I encourage all my canadian friends (along with their American spouse) to do it too. let's flood their system with emails today.

Yea some of the big boards are queued up and ready to go. At this point I think it's still over local issues as the province agreed to go back to the table yesterday. Peel Board will be striking as of May 4 if they don't get a deal made by then. The rest of us just sit and wait.

It does super suck for students especially those preparing to graduate! It's definitely not fair! I wish there was another way to go about it but the real problem is that most of the people bargaining on behalf of the boards and province have never spent a day as a teacher so they have no idea how strapped we are already. I put a lot of pressure on myself to create a meaningful lesson everyday. Adding to a teachers' workload and cutting the amount of time they have to prepare is like saying "we don't care about the quality of instruction students are receiving". It's sad that teachers are the only ones who do care. It's funny because most people assume that we're striking because, "those damn teachers just want more money". As far as I know salaries aren't even one of the big issues! Blah...ok now my rant is over!

Question: Why does the link go to the US Embassy in Ottawa page? I see you can choose Immigrant Visa from Montreal from the drop down menu but are we sure this is the right place?

correct, you need the interview letter P4 when you attend medical. when you book medical they will want to know your date of interview.

yes, i mentioned our cc date and that when i called nvc to inquire about the wait (for me its only 2 weeks), nvc informed me the embassy does the scheduling. so i kindly asked for an interview date. figured this (along with others) might ring some bells there...squeeky wheel get the oil. it can't hurt, right?

I sent an enquiry on feb 18th, 2015 using the aforementioned form and I got a response from U.S embassy montreal on feb 22nd, 2015. My enquiry was pertaining to the validity of Canadian police certificates; the response I got was right on point and prompt.
