So I called and I asked and they said no interview so far. I asked about the expedite protocols and got a glimmer of hope. They said I could certainly request an expedite but that, in all likelihood, by the time they even processed an expedite request, I would have an interview date.

So that sounded hopeful for 'soon.'

ahhh...that wasn't the good news I was hoping for, but you're right it does sound like a glimmer of hope!

we got an email from NVC that they received out docs and it will take 60 days for review....I dont get this why do they respond faster to mailed documents vs email? I would think email is better, but hey its goverment...

I suspect Montreal is full and we won't hear anything until they start scheduling for June. Someone who sent their documents in early March got an interview yesterday and I definitely had a bit of a cry.

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

March 13, 2014 Married!

May 9, 2014: Petition mailed to USCIS

May 12, 2014: NOA1.
October 27, 2014: NOA2. (5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day after NOA1)
October 31, 2014: USCIS ships file to NVC (five days after NOA2) Happy Halloween for us!

November 18, 2014: NVC receives our case (22 days after NOA2)

December 17, 2014: NVC generates case number (50 days after NOA2)

December 19, 2014: Receive AOS bill, DS-261. Submit DS-261 (52 days after NOA2)

December 20, 2014: Pay AOS Fee

January 7, 2015: Receive, pay IV Fee

January 10, 2015: Complete DS-260

January 11, 2015: Send AOS package and Civil Documents

dang, another email just came in...this one from Porter Airlines...now both Westjet and Porter have flight sales on....I really hope I can snag a flight to Montreal for cheap....this journey is not just a time buster but also a money grab!!!!

Exactly my thoughts too! Montreal seems full already and if we don't hear anything during this scheduling, then we will have to wait till the end of month scheduling which is somewhere around the 27-29th of each month.

I suspect Montreal is full and we won't hear anything until they start scheduling for June. Someone who sent their documents in early March got an interview yesterday and I definitely had a bit of a cry.

USCIS (CR-1)

August 12th, 2014: I-130 Mailed

August 13th, 2014: I-130 was received by AZ lockbox and transferred to Nebraska SC

August 15th, 2014: NOA1 by E-mail

August 22nd, 2014: Received NOA1 by Mail

February 2nd, 2015: USCIS Approved 1-130 petition (175 days)

February 10th, 2015: Case Status on USCIS website (We sent your case to the Department of State for visa Processing)

February 13th, 2015: Received NOA2 by Mail

NVC (CR-1)

February 17th, 2015: Case Received at NVC

February 27th, 2015: Case & Invoice ID numbers assigned

February 27th, 2015: Submitted DS-261

March 3rd, 2015: AOS bill paid

March 4th, 2015: NVC welcome letter received by postal mail.

March 6th, 2015: Sent both AOS & IV packages via fedex (didn't opt for EP)

March 9th, 2015: packages arrived at NVC office (fedex tracking showed delivered)

March 14th, 2015: received official letter from NVC stating receipt of packages and March 9th, 2015 as the scan date

March 18th, 2015: AOS fee rejected (due to glitch during payment and possibly human error in imputing the bank details )

March 18th, 2015: RE-PAID AOS fee

March 19th, 2015: AOS fee accepted (changed from "in process" to "paid)

March 24th, 2015: DS 261 was reviewed

March 25th, 2015: IV fee was invoiced

March 25th, 2015: IV fee paid - "in process"

March 27th, 2015: IV Payment changed to "paid"

March 27th, 2015: DS 260 completed

If they don't schedule between the 27-29th of april and rather schedule the 1st week of may, then that will mean that there was NO interview scheduled for montreal in the month of april; which might lead to the conclusion that NVC schedules montreal folks every other month no longer twice a month. All l I can say at this point is WOW!!!!
