Tracking EP at the NVC (YOUR DATA NEEDED!)

Reading everything that everyone has to say and this is on topic but slight off...can anyone tell me how you can tell a "false checklist" from a real one?

I have had my own troubles with NVC.....and scan dates. I also have two but was told they will take the later one. My checklist was given to us for not putting in page 9 (the empty last page if you don't have a lawyer). Then my "completed" DS261 changed to incomplete that was after I waited the required 42 days. So then the IV would not release because it said incomplete. After many, many phone calls (I can't imagine the bill this month!!) they finally send me an email two months after the DS261 showed as complete saying they had "fixed" it. No, it was not fixed. Wait a few days I was told....a week and much $$$ later in long distance calls to NVC they finally release the IV and a week later it released the DS260.

Again, my real question: How do you know what is a false checklist? And does anyone know if they read the whole thing (IV and AOS package) before the send the checklist? Or can it keep coming back with new problems?????

I am also a paper filer. At the time I was ticked that my husband did it that way thinking EP faster but now not so sure on that.....

We also got a checklist because we didn't put in page 9. I did call the NVC and confirmed the checklist was real. We had to resend a new I-864 - resent it on 04 06, so now we are waiting.

The only doc i have with a barcode is the confirmation notice i got when i completed the choice of agent form, will that be fine ?

hum, I'm not home right now and so I can't check. not sure if i got a barcode sheet when i completed choice of agent. can't remember. any one else remember?

I think we need the barcode from the AOS bill payment to submit documents not that DS261?

so I called NVC this morning, the rep said they weren't sure of i was a green card holder or a US citizen, that was why my case was sitting idle there, i asked what needed to be done, he gave me an email address for a supervisor to attach a copy of my American Passport and the case will move along after the supervisor receives the attachment. i was so angry. first off, i have been calling twice every week for 3 weeks now and none of those rep mentioned this, secondly i sent over copies of my passport and naturalization certificate to the USCIS when i filed the I-130, don't they forward it over to the NVC ?. this is crazy

Awesome! I'll be waiting I saw that in the interview thread and it got me hopeful! Didn't want to call though if someone else had. We should all just take turns calling as I assume they will schedule them all around the same time?! I really shouldn't assume anything when it comes to the NVC though I guess :s

So I called and I asked and they said no interview so far. I asked about the expedite protocols and got a glimmer of hope. They said I could certainly request an expedite but that, in all likelihood, by the time they even processed an expedite request, I would have an interview date.

So that sounded hopeful for 'soon.'
