I feel like I'm late to the dance on this thread, but so happy to have found it. We are all prisoners sharing the same cell namely the month of March in the TSC. My NOA1 date is March 19. I email my senator everyday to remind him that his constituents are prejudiced in the K-1 visa process solely because of their state of residency. I cannot say these emails will do anything to speed up my adjudication date, but if nothing else, someone in the senator's office has the privilege of reading my email everyday and the frustration of being subjected to the inefficiencies of the TSC. Each email ends the same, "You would do the same thing if your application was assigned to the TSC. I look forward to speaking to you tomorrow."

Best of luck to all of you, my newly made March filing friends.

Feb filer here---sadly, no. Most of those people are confused CSC filers who *think* they're at TSC because they mailed their petition to Texas. Click on their timelines, and look at the state they're in and you can tell that they're CSC folks.

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. 08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

Even better than just 'Worked On'. . . 25% of VJ TSC petitions for February have been APPROVED!

This link lists all Petitions: ~ http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=3&option=3&sortby=2

This link lists only Approved petitions: ~ http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=3&option=1&sortby=2

In February, there are 198 filers listed, and 50 have already been approved. Note: only 8 of 50 are '130 days or above'.

In the 1st half of January, the average approval time was 171 days, and the 2nd half of January, the average approval time was 166 days.

So Far, in the 1st half of February, the average approval time (above 130 days) has been 150 days . . . { low of 137 and high of 161 }

These averages are of those that took more than 130 days. I am assuming that any faster than that could possibly have been transferred to CSC, but not updated as such by the petitioners.

Our petition entered the list on March 7th. Today (7-20-15) is wait day number 135, so I am hopeful (by the current reported process rate) to be approved in about 2 weeks. ( +/- )

I Choose to Believe that Just as 'Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder`,even More so, `Waiting Makes the Approval Soooo Much Sweeter`

We Have Almost Arrived, and Our Patience Shall Soon Be Rewarded . . .

Miss Catherine,

Have Faith! You are at day 151 today. By my observation of the TSC non-transferred petitions, (above 130 days in processing), you SHOULD have approval before the end of the This month.

Of course, all speculation is a #######-shoot, but still, You are Almost There.

My Apologies to all out there who read that and wondered what it might mean. Sorry 'bout that. I was referring to the dice game.

Non-transferred? Who got transferred (for *real* transferred, not the kind of "transferred" that CSC folks think happened to them with the Lockbox routing). They are starting to work on February, but that happens to every month (I've been following these trends since October 2014, when Feb/March 2014 filers were starting to get approved). There seems to be a pattern with a handful of early approvals and everyone gets their hopes up that the average is dropping and then nothing, nothing, nothing and then most people get approved around the day 200 to day 220 mark. That said, I *could* be one of the lucky ones. Any of us have that chance. But the lucky ones with random early approvals wind up being less than 10% of any given month. And I'm not generally that lucky.

All that said, yes, anything is possible. They could be speeding up. But, based on past evidence, this is the standard pattern. It probably has something to do with their internal measurements and each adjudicator's "average" or whatever they have to show to their bosses. Like if their personal average gets near ??? days (whatever the internal cutoff for getting a "nastygram" email from whoever is overseeing you), they throw in a few from way back in the line to bring it down, or something. I used to work as a consultant for a completely different federal agency, that had an application process. I was in charge of a database that measured, among other things, each application processor/auditor's efficiency. We saw this sort of manipulation, and worse, happen *all the time*, unfortunately.

I'm sorry, and I'm not trying to be argumentative....just.... you're doing yourself a real disservice here. There is a way to see the "live" updates from USCIS and the real percentage is much, much less than that.

And the current 150 day average is almost guaranteed to climb back towards 200+. As I said in my other post, this is just their pattern for whatever reason (I think it's to bring their averages down so they don't get "caught" with as bad of a backlog as they have). Every singe month for almost a year has gone through this. Your best hope is that you wind up in the 10% or so who get approved early....or hope that their constant claims of "just having hired a ton of new people" is true and we're about to see the effects of it. They have been saying that for over 6 months now, and we haven't seen any effect so, personally, I'm not holding my breath.

Whilst I understand the need to be realistic, there's nothing wrong with keeping hope to. We have all suffered until this point and everyone deals with it differently. Optimism can be a strength and any signs of an improvement in processing times should be celebrated. Pessimism should be avoided, but that's just my opinion.
