Have you contacted your senator's to see if they can push a bit more? It would be worth a try!

Yes we did. We received a response before Christmas, I think, though the senator just tried to follow it up and track our case.. Waiting for almost a year already is so hard most especially we are expecting. </3

We haven't heard from the senator again yet.

Well, I'll call the embassy tomorrow, though its hard to get hold of Abu Dhabi embassy, they don't entertain calls. I'll tell fiance to try to call the senators office if that is possible. Thank you so much.

Timeline

Been a while since I was here, so I thought I'd jump in for a quick update. We were approved back in September, made it to the Ciudad Juarez consulate mid-Novemberish (the exact dates are in my timeline), and began work assembling all of the documentation for the DS-160; it's been a slow process because Harel has been given more responsibilities at his job, and with the long commute to and from, he's got no energy left at the end of the day (or even the start of the day, most days), not to mention my being deep in grad school and working at the moment.

Anyways, things were progressing smoothly if slowly until he realized his new passport has a clerical error, showing the wrong year of birth. So he did everything he could to replace it, but the earliest appointment he could get is January 20, and then it'll be at least a week after that before he gets the corrected passport. Thus, in the mean time, we're just waiting. Again.

However, of all the things that could have gone wrong, this is very manageable--we've contacted the consulate, they've informed us the delay won't prevent us from getting an interview, so it's more frustrating and disappointing than stressful, which I guess is easier to manage.

04/16/2014: When Darren Met Harel (in person for the first time)

08/14/2014: The Proposal (but in Mexico, not Alaska)

02/27/2015: Flight of the Application

03/03/2015: Reception (Christopher NOA1an's latest masterpiece)

09/25/2015: 205 Days Later (NOA2)

05/11/20116: Engagement ended for familial reasons

Jess,

Uscis is currently reporting that they are processing I-129F Petitions with an NOA1 of August 17, 2015.

Your Timeline states:

'Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between April 30, 2015 and May 4, 2015*'

I am Angry and Frustrated at the way you have been forgotten. I suspect that the current election cycle has something to do with your representative's respective LACK-OF effort to help you. If I were in your place, I would not email or call... I would camp outside of their office door until they got off their glutes and Did Something.

You Deserve Better!

Praying for You,

Tom and Rosa

Gosh! It's a very long time, but I congratulate you for getting to that step! I am so happy for you! I had seen the November 2015 time frames and they were saying that TSC was finishing March 23, 2015. I was hoping to hear from you soon, but that means that you should have been eligible for a service request by the end of November! You were way out of "processing time frames", but having a backwards tracking system helps the elude accountability.

What a shame. I'm sorry it too this long for you two, but on the positive side, I am really glad you are past that horrible, long, dark stage!! May your visa come fast!!!

This is so frustrating and angering and disappointing. Every day that goes by without an update, I often find myself wondering if you both have been approved yet, hoping you were just so excited you forgot to share the news... I wish there were more I could do to help. If nothing else, you have my support and prayers.

Hi to everyone

Thanks for all the responses to my rant. We still have no answer, and I think I need to go back to the US for health reasons and then come back here if there is an interview in my lifetime. This is seeming very unlikely now. I need several meds and supplements that are not available here.

Because I'm not in the US I can't talk to a Tier 2 officer. They need to call me back and that's not possible with skype. (I would need a phone here which I don't have) Also can't camp out in front of Senator's office bc I'm not in NY -but maybe will try that as soon as I get back. Hopefully the temp won't be so bad.

I also haven't heard back from either of my Senators -and as I said I've given up on Schumer. I wrote twice to Gillibrand by email (responding to a personal email to me) this week and called twice and left a message. No response. Our lawyer has called USCIS and says the next step is to wait 30 days or sue them for an answer (costly-but that's not really the issue) So in total NO ONE is responding to any of my requests and except for Gillibrand's office verifying my data I have not had a response at all since the start of this.

The issue really is my health. I think I have to give up and go home to get proper treatment. I'm not getting any healthier in this situation. Things are just getting worse and worse.

Thanks again to everyone.

This is totally unacceptable! You have a lawyer and you are contacting Senators? You have a lawyer and that lawyer is telling you to wait 30 more days? NO! JUST NO! I understand your health situation severely limits what you can do, but that's what your lawyer is supposed to help you with!!

Did your lawyer submit a service request for you? I really hope so, but if not, just know that you are very eligible for one. Service requests are often processed very fast. I did one today and ours is already resolved. By USCIS's own data, you are 52 days behind 'processing times' for the TSC. You don't need a tier two person to get a service request in - the first rep can put one in for you. What the gggg is wrong with people not helping you on your case? Why are people acting so lazy with you? You were just a few days from getting CSC, you are sick, you have been waiting over 10 months and your fiance is only in Mexico! Why are they so complacent????

what is a service request? How do I ask for one? IF it is them giving me a confirmation number and telling me to ask again in 30 days I already have 2 of them.......

Just got an email from Gillibrand saying they have asked for a review. I'm pretty sure the answer from USCIS will go something like this

"your case is very important to us. Unfortunately we are very very backed up and you can check with us again in 30 days"

Not sure-it's just a guess-

Honestly, I can't do this anymore. I just can't -I don't have the strength. I need to do something else like drop the case and move to another country where there is adequate medical care.

Yes, you get a referral number with a service request. You should be able to see the status of your service requests when you log into myUSCIS (not just putting in your case number on the USCIS site). It tells you when it was assigned to an officer, what action they took and when the service request was completed.

Keep fighting, girlfriend! Get your medical stuff taken care of as soon as possible! We don't want anything to happen to you! We don't want you celebrating your NOA2 in a sick bed or in a doctor's office! This immigration stuff will move, it will. Your health is the most important part right now, but I can't imagine how this stress must be weighing on you. It is probably aggravating your condition. You will make it! You will make it! I really, really hate seeing how this is dragging on for you. #######?
