I know exactly how you feel, Naddy! Harel and I had hoped to file back in August, but since we're both students, we weren't able to complete things as fast as we had thought (which was mostly my fault, since I'm the more organized of the two of us XD). When I finally sent it in at the end of February, I was so happy to finally have it done! Then hardly three weeks later, they switched things up. What baffles me is wondering who thought it was more fair to route new petitions to CSC without actually fixing the problems at Texas. I've written my representatives with the hopes they can help answer questions, but I'm not sure yet what they'll do.

I also wrote my reps here in Virginia about the discrepancy and tried to find out more information on how the transfer would affect the processing times at TSC and got a letter back saying they contacted USCIS and "my case was not out of normal processing times and will be processed normally" Soooo frustrating!

At this rate if all of us March filers are looking at November then we will all still have time after that for the interview portion of the process which really sucks because we were hoping to be living together by Christmas at least. :(

I'll jump in on this thread! My NOA1 is March 5th. I have been keeping up with the forums and Igor's list, but haven't posted much. I have browsed the other March thread, but find it somewhat depressing that most are approved and even have visas in hand already. Even more depressing because if we only waited a couple of more weeks to file, we would have been routed to CSC and approved already. Nothing we can do now, but at least we can commiserate here together :P

My exact thought lol, welcome you guys!

Our Journey:
04/19/2014- Met online
10/2014- Visited Nigeria and he proposed!!!!

11/13/2015- Sent to NVC
11/27/2015- Arrived at Embassy
06/2016- Third visit to Nigeria!
06/15/2016- Interview, given option to file I-601 waiver.
08/16/2016- Waiver submitted (no lawyer).
11/21/2016- Waiver approved with expedite.
01/2017- Embassy requested interview.
04/2017- Fourth visit to Nigeria.  K1 officially denied.
04/25/2017- NOA1 for 2nd K1.

I was very clear in my letters that I was still within the "normal processing time," so hopefully that won't cause them to turn a blind eye. If they do, I'll just resend them in a couple months once we're past the supposed range for processing.

The worst part, for me, is that every so often someone would throw out a line like "but my heart still goes out to those at TSC" and while I understand their sentiment and they probably sincerely meant it, every time it just felt so condescending to read. I've been told all my life to wait for my turn, to not cut in line, and everyone in that thread who ended up at CSC after the switch effectively did cut in line. It pains me first because it's simply unfair and it pains me more deeply because it makes me question whether there's actually any concept of fairness at all.

I was wondering if anyone has been using the USCIS twitter or Facebook for answers on why there is such issues with TSC processing I-129s? USCIS is part of DHS but seems like there is no "chain of command" for this organization.

Hope everyone is well and hanging in there.

Gary

Gary, that is a fantastic idea! I just checked on their Facebook page (which I liked) and they don't allow public comments, but I found their Twitter page (which I followed) and we can easily tag them. I've heard of other groups dedicating a certain time and date for getting a lot of people to Tweet about the same topic, using the same tags, to generate media attention by making things trend. I think it'd be a great opportunity to stir up some accountability.

So...if we want to do this...we'll need a few things:

* A date and a time (say an hour or two?)

* A few pre-made Tweets (140 characters or less)

* A few ideas for hwo people can personalize their messages

* And a lot of publicity to get the word out

If you think it's worth shooting at, I can help set things up and get a specific thread going.

EDIT: We could even tag POTUS (since it's in the executive branch) and InouyeUSCIS, Press Secretary & Advisor for Intergovernmental & External Affairs. This could be a really great idea, I think, and I'm not just saying that because it's one in the morning and I haven't slept.

Sounds good to me!!! We can also tag fox news and others. FOX always love stories like this.

The biggest thing is like you said..we need to get everyone on board. Also, I agree your idea of a generic mass post with @: potus, dhs heads, USCIS heads, political members would be awesome. We can also come up with a hashtag to trend on social media.

Maybe as a more personal approach we could add the time since NOA1 to show how long this takes. Just an idea.

I am new to forums but maybe we can get a major thread going here with a date and time, generic post and instructions on what to upload to social media.

Hopefully the negative attention can help fix a problem and prevent this issue for future filers.
