@ConiMoni,

You are seeing exactly what I am seeing, but I also called the USCIS and the first level customer representative is seeing 3/23 on her screen, while the agent is seeing 3/17. My last case update was 3/24, one day later than what the online receipt now says. So when I mix this cocktail up it tells me something does not make sense. Perhaps I'm wrong and I hope that I am.

R

Because you have received two differing answers from two different Customer Service Representatives, I am of the opinion that you should request that they look for duplicate files for the separate dates of March 17th and March 23rd.

Taking their job title at face value:

Customer ~ You Have Paid Them Money. Why? (next title word...).

Service ~ You paid for a service, and they cashed the check. They Owe You.

Representative ~ When they speak to you, they are representing the entire organization. Well, .... It Stinks.

Demand Better. Demand Results.

Politeness Always, but not to the point of rolling over and playing dead.

Differing answers is Completely Unacceptable.

Someone should physically put their hands into both 'boxes' and either pull out the file, (or files if there are two) and not give you a 'Go-Away' answer.

@rms171

i am guessing, the first level cust rep is running your receipt number from the same case status search page that rest of us are using

The agent: I am assuming level 2:- I am guessing that he is able to see the case history and thus is stating March 17th

Either way.. in my opinion, the received date printed on NOA1 hardcopy is the one to follow.

Kind regards,

ConiMoni

I know. I am that guy. Never doubted the NOA2. As for the USCIS system, it works about as well as a football bat. It should be broken and rebuilt. . . after my approval, of course.

So I spoke for a third time with a tier 2 agent who (I don't know why) was exasperated from the sound o fher voice as I kept pushing on her as to why two sources of the truth differ. She had zero answer for me on that, but insisted (I am an officer, not a level 1 desk representative) that the NOA1 date is as printed on my I797, which is March 17. So with that said for the many that have the same issue that I do, as ConiMoni said, the hard copy is the record.

I'd love a job coding for the USCIS. I've not coded a day in my life, but am sure I'm overqualified for their position, given how misleading the USCIS website has been in sharing data.

Sorry to sound tense, but as we begin to see the faucet trickle on approvals, the sense of angst, nervousness and anticipation is growing (at least it is for me). I am my fiancee's sole means of financial support (or as my ex says "I'm the sugar daddy"), and as such I'm spread financially very thin. Throwing this out to the agent didn't seem to elicit either a let me confirm your file is in the write bin or "perhaps file a hardship petition". My senator provided me with the bin number that my file is in so giving that to her didn't phase or elicit anything. Would love to go to training to be a tier 2 officer and be taught the skill of apathy. I guess they have to be that way, but it seems easier because we're just numbers and voices. Must be governmental because my senator after almost two dozen emails back and forth wasn't much more helpful as well.

Continued congratulations to all who have been and will be approved.

R

Completely agree! Best of luck, friend! Your approval should be right around the corner.

Hey All,

I have a question. How long from actual approval date of NOA2 till things like the USCIS case status on their website and Apps like case buddy get updated? Is there like a two day lag? If anyone has any insight on this that would be great.

Thanks-

@ Steve & Ash

Per my understanding USCIS case status is updated daily. It seems like a collective update rather than individual updates.

The other apps like case buddy do the exact same thing. They fetch the information about your case from the USCIS Case Status Tool.

What these apps additionally do is that they have a timer set of may 15 minute or 5 minute or xyz minutes to refresh the case status. These apps usually state what time the case status was last checked.

Some apps even provide an option to tweek the refresh time down to every minute.

So to further answer your question, the apps should also be able to provide you the updated case status in few minutes after the USCIS Case Status Tool gets updated, depending on the refresh timer of that app.

I hope this information helps in answering your query.

Kind regards,

ConiMoni

It makes me so happy to keep seeing sporadic approvals. I know they're not mine yet, and rather randomized so it's hard to get my hopes up, but just seeing the occasional approval of March petitions is encouraging.

However, it pains me there are still those waiting months longer than us, who are still waiting just the same... :(

By the way, we've finally reached Day #180 (I know because since Day #151 I've been posting pictures of Pokemon on my page every day to amuse myself as I pass the time), but it might be Day #182 since our received date (not notice date) was actually March 3... either way, methinks I'm going to call back my senator's office. She was supposed to get an update for me every thirty days, and when #150 rolled around, I heard nothing. So frustrating.

I have Case Buddy, with 14 files loaded into it. I check it a couple of dozen times every hour, 38 hours a day, 9 days a week.

The same 14 files are loaded into the USCIS Case Status page, with the settings to update my by phone text and email.

I will report back here after I Receive my I-797C (NOA2) notice and give the lead-time or lag-time of the Case Buddy and Case Status page.

Hoping that our March 2015 NOA2 friends are still reading.

Would those approved tell me if their I797 NOA1 (hard copy) agreed to the date you may have seen on the USCIS website? Mine does not. My hard copy says 3/17, the website at first said 3/17 (something I printed out shortly after 3/17), but now the website says 3/23. I spoke to an agent this morning who said his system says 3/17, and I asked why on USCIS.com I have a receipt that says 3/23 and in case history it says 3/17? He said that its not uncommon for that to happen, something after I hung up with him made no sense to me. Thus, my question if others experienced conflicts like I'm referring to above.

As my analytics guru pointed out (you know who you are) my sequencing number (the first 9 digits) has receipts scattered over a two week period, while normally a sequencing runs a few consecutive days before the last four digits are exhausted and a new sequence is started.

Any help would be appreciated as I'm a mess. If it makes sense to post this on the larger forum as maybe someone else knows, please chime in as I'm a nervous wreck right now thinking that my file is now in purgatory (in Texas which is already hell) and I'm in line to be one of those 5% of petitions that sits around for months and months before someone finds it and says 'hey looky here, we missed this one.'

Thank you.

Our hardcopy says March 9 2015. On the USCIS website it says March 17 2015. When they first put it online wrongly i called them and they brushed it off by saying it was only a few days off....Now i am wondering ...

Please do not feel alone, i am in the exact same head-space as you are. I am becoming neurotic, and not in a good way!

I have a received date of 03/05, a notice date of 03/06 and a "last updated" date of 03/09.

It just means that they received my case on the 5th, gave the notice on the 6th, and the last time anyone touched my case was on the 9th.

I hope that helps!
