I Know. I typed my surprise in Korean.

뭐라고? 말도 안돼...! is pronounced mwah-rlah-go? mal-do ahn-dwae...! and means "What did you say? Nonsense...!"

Hoping that our March 2015 NOA2 friends are still reading.

Would those approved tell me if their I797 NOA1 (hard copy) agreed to the date you may have seen on the USCIS website? Mine does not. My hard copy says 3/17, the website at first said 3/17 (something I printed out shortly after 3/17), but now the website says 3/23. I spoke to an agent this morning who said his system says 3/17, and I asked why on USCIS.com I have a receipt that says 3/23 and in case history it says 3/17? He said that its not uncommon for that to happen, something after I hung up with him made no sense to me. Thus, my question if others experienced conflicts like I'm referring to above.

As my analytics guru pointed out (you know who you are) my sequencing number (the first 9 digits) has receipts scattered over a two week period, while normally a sequencing runs a few consecutive days before the last four digits are exhausted and a new sequence is started.

Any help would be appreciated as I'm a mess. If it makes sense to post this on the larger forum as maybe someone else knows, please chime in as I'm a nervous wreck right now thinking that my file is now in purgatory (in Texas which is already hell) and I'm in line to be one of those 5% of petitions that sits around for months and months before someone finds it and says 'hey looky here, we missed this one.'

Thank you.

Yes, I have been seeing the same thing. Hardcopy NOA1 states 3/17 like yours but on the USCIS website it states 3/26.. I also thought that was odd.

hi rms171,

i hope i can answer your query.

Per my experience my case was received on March 19th 2015.. The website initially said case received on March 19.. After i while i could not access our case status..

Then all of sudden one day it started showing up.. but this time it said case was received on March 25th, 2015..

Now if you log in into the USCIS website and make an account and then add your receipt number to that account.. it will show (atleast in my situation) that the case was last updated on March 25th, 2015... then if i click the receipt number it says: Case was received on March 25th, 2015 and then at the bottom in "Case History" it says that the petition was received on March 19th, 2015.

Per my understanding the case was definitely received on March 19th.. is says so on the NOA1 hard copy as well.. but i am guessing the update on march 25th was the change of ARN.. but since the website is not scripted properly with the database, i am guessing that it picks the last updated date as the date it was received..

I would not worry about it as it just seems like a scripting issue of the website.. Your original NOA1 date is the one on the hard copy..

I hope this information helps.

Have a nice day..

Kind regards,

ConiMoni

@ConiMoni,

You are seeing exactly what I am seeing, but I also called the USCIS and the first level customer representative is seeing 3/23 on her screen, while the agent is seeing 3/17. My last case update was 3/24, one day later than what the online receipt now says. So when I mix this cocktail up it tells me something does not make sense. Perhaps I'm wrong and I hope that I am.
