Sorry to hear that Micky. I had to leave my love in the Philippines on August 2, 2015. Surprisingly I was strong up until the time I walked in my house and had to stare at the emptiness. I would think back to the time when I turned around and saw her standing there at the airport. I just wanted to drop my suitcase and run and hold her in my arms one more time. That wouldve been a sight- a 240 pound man charging at a petite Filipina lol. It will be tough but knowing my NOa2 will be here in a few more weeks keeps me going. I hope all of us at TSC hear good news soon.

you are not alone, believe me, it is so hard to be in situation that other people have a control over your life and happiness
i have not seen love of my life since may, and only spent 28 days with him , i tried to have b2 visa to travel to him because he cant tke any more vacation and even the b2 visa denied :( it was so hear breaking, it is not easy, specially the moment when u say good bye in the airport, and me leaving in the car without him, at my home , every place remind me of every minute with him, sometimes i feel i wish i could be in a coma until they tell me ok here is your interview time, and for may will be the month only we will hit the 3d month in this process, knowing that ahead of us still long wait, and not be with him right away again, we are all in that pain, i cant even live my life, simply i have no pleasure if i did anything without him, its not about where i am , it is about whom i am with, since then all i am doing is to pray for more patience and communicate as much as we can, hang in there , we are almost there, and it is sooooo worth it , one-day we will look back to those days and smile and remember those moment with out then to be husbands and wives , and one-day will tell our story to our children, just know you are not alone :)

I can relate to each of these experiences, and few things are adequate to describe the pain of separation. Perhaps this is how Adam felt as God withdrew his rib to form Eve? How completely whole they must have felt holding onto each other... In Hebrew, the word shalom means both peace and wholeness, and now being separated from my love, I know how restless it is to be broken, to have that part of your life shattered and withheld....

The first time I left Harel, I cried from Mexico all the way back to Raleigh, NC; I crumbled inside so quickly, I even became physically ill for a week. The second time, I fell apart in the airport, and later I was holding it together until I moved back on campus and the room just felt absent...I felt absent without his presence there. The third time was the hardest. We didn't know when we would see each other again, and we hugged in the airport, holding on to each other like we never had before. This fourth time, a week ago last night, we parted with no tears: the end is in sight, and we both hope the next time we see each other in person, we'll be flying to Juarez for his interview, and then possibly flying back home together. Only one or two more goodbyes.

It's a hope we all share, but also a great pain. As I cried in my seat that first flight from Mexico to my layover in Atlanta, there was a woman crying beside me. She told me she was leaving family, and I knew exactly how she felt.

09/06/2013: Along Came a Relationship

04/16/2014: When Darren Met Harel (in person for the first time)

08/14/2014: The Proposal (but in Mexico, not Alaska)

02/27/2015: Flight of the Application

03/03/2015: Reception (Christopher NOA1an's latest masterpiece)

09/25/2015: 205 Days Later (NOA2)

05/11/20116: Engagement ended for familial reasons

Hello fellow March 2015 TSC filers:

Ok, i will admit i am not the happiest guy when i see other petitions being approved before ours specifically if they have applied after our date of March 11, 2015. I am glad for the couples but think it extremely unfair and totally against USCIS's own policy of working on petitions on a 'first come first serve" basis. ne immigration officer told me by 8/12/15 i would receive a letter about status of our application. It never came and as of today nothing. So i did what i thought was the only thing left to do so that myself and my partner JR would not feel so stranded, frustrated, angry, etc.

I have made many, many calls to tier 2 officers and gotten no information from a few and even more information from two of them....go figure... To deal with my frustration and calling on my government to uphold it's own rules and regulations(hahaha, i know..) i called Senator Warren's office Wednesday(8/12/15) to see what i could do to make my concern heard. By the end of the business day on Wednesday a formal request was sent to the TSC (congressional) liason(sp) department. I just read a post from an applicant who lives nearby and he says it only took a few days for a reply for his case....hoping the same for our case.

What my partner and i have done is to put February 2016 in our heads as the time he will either be here or we will receive our NOA2. As of today, we have had no RFE's and i am grateful even though we hired an agency to handle all paperwork that i brought and partner gathered before my arrival in PI. I have heard people getting RFE's after several months and then again none at all. Oddly, one of the tier 2 officers told me(he was very, very kind.) that our petition had been "touched" on June 29th, at 2pm and that it had been "cleared" for approval by an assistant adjudicator and it is now waiting to be assigned to an adjudicating officer. Has anyone ever heard of this? I sure hope it is true! It is the only good news we have heard since NOA1. I have also heard that petitions from the Philippines are expedited.....that is not our experience.

I do hope to hear something soon regarding Senator Warren's office's request. I am sure the service request from USCIS that is on its way to me just states the usual "you are in normal processing time frames". The tier 2 officer that gave us the good news told me that their normal processing time is 6-7 months. The contradictory information is never ending with USCIS. I would like to help in some way going forward to help other couples in our situation. It would be very helpful for USCIS to clarify it's own processing protocol so petitioners will not have to endure the "hell" we are/have been going though. Does anyone have any suggestions?

CatherineA- you rock. My previous username was BrianTroy. Out of frustration i cancelled my account on VJ and VJ's support staff has never worked on the repair ticket they issued last month(sound familiar)??

Thanks everyone!!

Timothy

It's a good sign that your senator's office was willing to help you this early in the process. Most of them play by the rules that USCIS puts out on their processing times "report" (I put report in quotes because it is 3 month old information with numbers that have been made up in the first place so it's actually useless). It might get your case dealt with quicker, but be prepared to hear back from the senator's office that you're "within normal processing times" and that there's nothing else they can do. But it could also get your case handled, so may as well try.

You don't have an RFE yet because no one has looked at your file yet--- they don't know if there's any missing information to ask you for. Hopefully, you'll be ok on this front, but even if not it's probably going to not take months. I think some people's take a while because they themselves take a while to submit what USCIS asked for. For the most part (and there's a few people out there who are different), it seems like people's cases get approved within a week or two of sending the RFE information back to USCIS.

Good luck!

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
19 Feb 2015: NOA1 Notice Date
08 Aug 2015: NOA2 email! :luv: (173 days from NOA1)

17 Aug 2015: Sent to NVC

?? Aug 2015: Arrived at NVC

25 Aug 2015: NVC Case # Assigned

31 Aug 2015: Left NVC for Consulate in San Jose

09 Sep 2015: Consulate received :dancing: (32 days from NOA2)

11 Sep 2015: Packet 3 emailed from embassy to me, the petitioner (34 days from NOA2).

18 Sep 2015: Medicals complete

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

02 Oct 2015: Work emergency clears up, interview scheduled (soonest available was 5 business days away--Columbus Day was in there)

13 Oct 2015: Interview

13 Oct 2015: VISA APPROVED  (236 days from NOA1)

19 Oct 2015: Visa-in-hand

24 Oct 2015: POE !

15 Dec 2015: Fiance's mother's B-2 visa interview: APPROVED! So happy she will be at the wedding!

!

You have a timeline listed under your name on this thread, or discussion Topic. Near the bottom, it tells you when your estimated Approval Date is. However, after you are Approved, the estimated Approval Date will be replaced by your Approval Date , like this:

Your I-129f was approved in 16 days from your NOA1 date.

Congratulations, yours says that you were approved on August 12.

you are right Tom, as long as we r happy for them, but people forgive us, this is so unfair for us, to see people applied months after us and already now with their fiances, it is truly heart breaking, we payed the same amount of money, we did every thing legal , some of us who hired attorney paid much more, my fiancee paid 2000 dollars, and here is my 174 days, and who knows when am i gonna receive mine, today so hard day for me, crying, so down, i feel so in pain when i know people could spend time with my love but not me, people can see him in person and me only through screen , what a very tough thing, i wish there was something like a choice in the application if i want long road which is to be with Texas or short road which is California, and California to be expedite service center and i pay more for it, i wish they can give us a choice or a control over our process and life

May God reward a for our patience sooner than we know
