Wait for the "Notice of Action" (NOA) for your AOS application, it will shows your assigned case number for AOS, that you could use for checking your status through USCIS website.

In my case, I've received NOA after 1 week, and then i gave 1 week or couple days more for USCIS to update their system, so that for me to succesfully checked my case online.

Checking to see if your money order or check has been cashed is probably the first thing you can track. If it has been cashed it is a good indication that your package was assembled with all the major components. They cashed my check and I still received an RFE.

A friend in Florida took a month to get her package returned without the check being cashed.

After the check is cashed sometimes you can get the 13 digit number from the back and sometimes not. If not you will have to wait for your NOA.

Yes.... same process as for the K1.

After you receive your NOA with a case number you can go to:

https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/login.jsp

- Create an account, if you don't have one already.

- Create an entry in your portfolio using your case number

- Come back here and check your status often

- You can also enter your email address to be notified by email when there is a change in your case(s)
