I-601 with Pending I-485

Does anyone have experience with an I-601 with a pending I-485? My receipt number begins with MSC, but it was initially handled by the Nebraska Service Center. Are I-601's transferred back to the original service center? I live in Texas, so I was really hoping it would be sent to the Texas Service Center (faster processing times). However, I was instructed to send my waiver application to the Chicago Lockbox (because my receipt number begins with MSC).

As far as I am aware, Nebraska doesnt deal with AOS, well not family based ones that is an error we have been told. Everything normally goes to the NBC then out to a field office, a local one if you have an interview. MSC stands for Missouri, where the NBC is located!

Biometrics:                    02/22/2018

 

Waiting............    Roll my eyes again :(

 

USA citizen as of 25th of July 2018. :)
