Being a former OKC adjustment candidate (when DORA wasn't an option yet) your topic made me curious and I looked it up on the USCIS site:

https://egov.immigration.gov/crisgwi/go?act...or.statecode=OK

there it says:

"Forms to file in Person

This office accepts the following form(s) only in person with an INFOPASS appointment:

•Form I-485 that is based on a Form I-130 family-based petition (with an immediately-available visa number), on the diversity visa lottery, or on a Form I-360 petition (except for special immigrants who are religious workers).

This procedure will become mandatory at the Oklahoma City Sub-Office on November 20, 2006 and will end on September 21, 2007. You should bring all applicable documents, including Forms I-131 and I-765, if you choose to file these applications with Form I-485. You should be prepared to answer interview questions on the day of your appointment and if approved you will receive an appointment notice for biometrics. "

I just wonder if DORA is also available to K1s (since they don't file I130 but I129f?!)

Anyway, from what I read there I guess DORA will be way quicker, as you will make your infopass appointment and on the day of the appointment you will have your interview. Should be way quicker.

Good luck!

DORA is applicable to all kinds of petetions, either your k1 or I -130....but DORA which stands for DALLAS OFFICE RAPID ADJUSTMENT is only for within DALLAS area. For Oklahoma residents, you can check it online in the INFOPASS website.

Hi!

I just filed my Adjustment of Status at OKC through the DISTRICT OFFICE RAPID ADJUDICATION Program ( It's not just Dallas involved in this pilot program) last January 29, 2007 (you can check my signature for my timeline). I entered the US on a K3 visa. The DORA by the way is for family-based petitions, diversity lottery and other special immigrants (please check this website:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...0000ecd190aRCRD

I already received my schedule for biometrics appointment which is pretty fast (1 month from the time of filing).

Hope this helps.

Let me know if you need more info.

THANKS

My wife and I had our DORA interview in Oklahoma City Tuesday, March 6th and were approved.

Our appointment time was 9:45 am. The person at the window who initially looked at our packet said it was missing my birth certificate and photos of me, which I politely argued were not needed. She said it would be up to interviewer, but the interviewer did not ask for them. She also pointed out that I had the wrong NOA. It was the NOA1 for receipt and not the NOA2 for approval of the I-129F, but this was not mentioned by the interviewer.

After checking over our packet they told us to go have lunch and come back at 12:00 for a 12:15 interview. We were called in promptly and the interview took about thirty minutes. The interviewer was fairly serious and down to business, not overly friendly but not rude either. After going over the list of legal questions, she asked how we met and what we liked to do together.

The supporting evidence I submitted was not extensive but was evidently sufficient. Since we did not get a Social Security card before the I-94 expired, we did not have any joint bank accounts, leases, etc. I submitted copies of insurance papers from work showing her as the beneficiary of my health and life insurance. I submitted a copy of an Oklahoma City Zoo membership that has both our names on it. And we brought a small book of photos which included our engagement, wedding, at the zoo and other misc.

She said there was only one thing missing, a G325a for me (the petitioner). I did not argue with her since she let me fill one out while she waited (one page only and no mention of photos). After I filled it out she said we were approved.

She said we would receive an appointment time for biometrics in the mail in two to four weeks, and if the process looked like it would not be completed in 90 days (most likely due to the FBI name check) they would let us know so we could file for EAD or AP.
