Good Morning...Maybe today?


Now that a renewed ead will be valid for another year, WILL IT TAKE ANOTHER YEAR FOR THEM TO PROCESS OUR GC??? I dont want just an EAD! I want my GC that we paid 1 grand for!

Applied Social Security Number on the 10 of March, 2014.

Married on the 13th of March, 2014.

Sent I-485, I-765, and I-131 on the 15th of March, 2014.

Received EAD on June 7, 2014.

Received Notice of Potential Interview Waiver on July 1, 2014 date 6/27

Contacted Ombudsman on 01/12/2015.

Ombudsman contacted USCIS on 02/20/2015.

Ombudsman sent a follow up to USCIS on 03/18/2015.

I-485 approved on 03/31/2015 ( we ordered your card).

Welcome notice was mailed on 04/01/2015.

Received Welcome Notice on 04/08/2015.

Card was mailed to me/picked up by USPS on 04/08/2015.

Received GC on 4/10/2015.

Thank you everyone! I can't even begin to describe the joy I feel, and I'm not even the recipient of the green card. I feel so overjoyed for my wife. I already told her, she is happy, but says she won't believe it until she sees the green card in her hands, lol. She had her biometrics appointment for this Friday at 9am, so I was already making arrangements to leave early from work, but that won't be necessary now.

Cant help but wonder if this was anything to do with the email you got from the ombudsman last week. I guess we will only find out if the other people that got the email get approved this week!

I wish I could have kept it a secret, but I just had to tell her. I think it was persistence. I was calling practically every day to USCIS before I was told it had been moved to Harlingen, TX. I did get an email from Ombudsman, but that basically said, "Thank you for your patience as we work through requests for assistance in the order they are received. Regrettably, there are still unprocessed cases in front of yours. Once your case is assigned and reviewed, you will be provided a further update from this office." I received this email on April 3rd.

I guess if you hear from them again it might tell you more. It was SO strange when they sent out all those emails. I guess you never got a reply regarding that?

You need to go out tonight and celebrate, no more queuing up at the Mexican border. Yahoo!

Thank you everyone! I hope and pray that you all soon receive the same text and email messages that I received today! It is still unacceptable the amount of time we are all waiting. Please continue to call USCIS, even if it means you call in daily if you are still waiting for your approval. My phone is still receiving texts from USCIS, I've received about 6 or 7 texts with the same information already. Don't lose hope, the day will come and it's going to be sooner than you expect it.
