Notice of Potential Interview Waiver Case [Part II]

Well, I'm not surprised, but USCIS managed to screw things up again! They sent my husband's green card to our old address! We changed our address back in October 2014, and even got a confirmation letter sent to our new address but both the welcome notice and green card were sent to our old address. Luckily our old address is the home of a family friend, but I'm just so aggravated once again! I just don't understand how they manage to screw everything up so effortlessly! UGH!

This is scared me as well. Hopefully they will not send my GC to my old address.

New Journey AOS:

My fiancee came to US on the 8th of March, 2014 under K-1 visa at Newark, NJ Airport for POE.

Applied Social Security Number on the 10 of March, 2014.

Sent I-485, I-765, and I-131 on the 15th of March, 2014.

Received EAD on June 7, 2014.

Received Notice of Potential Interview Waiver on July 1, 2014 date 6/27

Contacted Ombudsman on 01/12/2015.

Ombudsman contacted USCIS on 02/20/2015.

Ombudsman sent a follow up to USCIS on 03/18/2015.

I-485 approved on 03/31/2015 ( we ordered your card).

Welcome notice was mailed on 04/01/2015.

Received Welcome Notice on 04/08/2015.

Card was mailed to me/picked up by USPS on 04/08/2015.

I and Nlhernan agree. We both thought it might be last week, but this week I feel a bit more positive about it all, perhaps its the fact the sun is shining outside and everything feels promising!

Come on USCIS, update your processing times, you know I am going to bombard you with service requests once you get to my date!! Talking of which this is an interesting article. Some other advocacy techniques may include:

(a) complaints to the USCIS ombudsman,
(b) meetings with Congressional reps to demand oversight hearings,
© Congressional call-in campaign or lobby day,
(d) media campaign,
(e) mandamus actions in federal court against USCIS for failure to perform a non-discretionary duty within a reasonable period, and/or
(F) “We the People” petitions to the White House (https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/).

This list is by no means exclusive. They all fall under the heading, “Don’t just get mad. Get organized.”

And this is an interesting letter written from people affected by backlogs at the USCIS with their 1130 and basically states they are waiting for their GC/residency! Seems nothing is changing since the letter in 2013! We need to do something like this and I am sure Nlhernan will agree with me!
