If USCIS was processing in the order in which it was received and in a timely mater, there wouldn't be people on this thread with NOA's in Feb and early Mar still waiting and there wouldn't be any "lottery-winning" early approvals without interview....And unfortunately there are people still waiting this long and there are still people getting approved with NPIW letters and NOA's of June and sooner.

BTW, I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but a SR with a MSC suffix generally means your case is still firmly esconced in Lee's Hill pergatory...

Yea, the T2 told me as much. Stuck in Missouri.

He apparently send off (in his words) and expedition "order" or something to that effect, but as I've said - I'll believe it when I see it.

Please do not stop sending SR's. If you do, they win. It's that simple. They want you to think it's an imposition on their time; a hindrance from adjudicating your case. Donkey do-do. First, they wouldn't put it on their website if it were. Second, at both your late dates, it will tell where your case is sojourning at this juncture (by the return address), even if by email), if you get a response.

That leads me to an observation and suggestion. If you let Tier 1 or 2 file a SR for you, you will not get an email response. You have to depend on an SEIU member, nonfirable, federal worker who may or may not see it fit to print, stuff, SWAK, and stamp a response for your review. If you make a request online and request email confirmation you are more liable to get a response since typing an email address can easily be done before or after their fourth coffee break of the morning without a sweat. So when Tier 1 or 2 asks you whether you want them to file one for you, simply say, "No, I don't want to trouble your busy union-guided schedule and waste my application fee", and file it yourself. Remember to check the email verification box which I did not do on my fist on line SR and waited 2 weeks to have a uniformed representative of the federal government place in my letter receptical after it was marked notice sent...

Still cynical...

you applied in last April ,so it has been a whole year for you .I can't believe they said they can't do anything about yours .That is insane .Even if things go like USCIS claimed that it will take 9-12 months to get GC since your NOA date ,you already passed that .Did you try to contact congressman or ombudsman ?

Hi guys, I have a question would u pls. help me. My lawyer filed my AOS on June 16, 2014 and I got my NPIWin 25 Sept. 14. Still my case is under processing and no news from uscis. I got an email from my lawyer that I should extend my authorization work by end of April and she pointed out her office fee is $ 450 !!!!!! Honestly I wouldn't like to pay it because right now I'm not in a good financial situation. The questions is, do u think considering I have a lawyer, I myself can apply for extending my authorization work or my lawyer should do that???? I appreciate if you share your experience with me.

A lot of people do it on their own. My husband and I have done the process from K-1 to AOS on our own and we will probably do ROC on our own when the time comes. Check the guides or do a search in the forums for all the documents that are needed. You should be okay to do your renewal on your own. Good luck!

I'm out of town at the moment so I don't have a copy of the cover letter I sent. But I did send completed EAD form, AP form, copy of NOA for AOS, copy of front and back of my current EAD/AP card and a cover letter. I don't remember what else I sent. I won't be home for a few more days, hopefully someone else will be able to let you know everything that you'll need to send.

you need to file I-765 and I-131 within 120 days from expiration date. I suggest you do it yourself so that it wont cost you a cent and it is not too hard for those forms. You can look the guidelines on example forms tab, but you need to modify a bit because you are now filing the renewal instead of first time. The documents go with it are:

2 passport size photos

photocopy of front and back EAD

photocopy of I-485

If you file both I-765 and I-131, then you need to send the same documents as stating above for both forms. You will send it to Chicago lockbox if you are C9 category which you are:

USCIS Chicago Lockbox

For U.S. Postal Service:

USCIS

P.O. Box 805887

Chicago, IL 60680-4120

For Express mail and courier deliveries:
