Wish I was on the West Coast, although two days ago after mentioning my friend on here from California, she invited me over, quite coincidental. Hmm, snow like we still have here on the ground or California with a great friend who makes me laugh so hard, the choice is hard!! Not!

Hope you get your GC today, how many hours behind are you?

You would definitely enjoy the weather here today 78F. (no snow)

We are three hours behind you.

Thank you. To be honest, I am not quite happy over all. It is just that I dont have to worry when I will get approval anymore. Hope you will hear from them soon.

Anonymous885, yay!!! congratulations!!

Truthfully, we've either gotten very late notifications or very early ones. We're on Pacific time, so 3 hours behind.

Natonstan, happy birthday! Tomorrow is Johan's. I'm taking him on a road trip up to NorCal for some Redwoods hiking. Should be fun. My spring break begins at 12:55 PDT, and then I'm off until the 13th! woot!

Come on, USCIS, get those approvals out there!

Dear Tina:

I am writing to update you on the status of your case with I-485 petition.

Below is correspondence I have received from US National Befits Center regarding your pending petition. I hope this information es beneficial.

Case MSCXXXXX, Form I-485, A# , DOB filed by Mr.

Case MSCXXXXX, Form I-485, A# , DOB filed by Mr.

A review of our systems shows the above cases were both received on 8/6/14. We received biometrics for both applicants on 9/12/14 and their cases are currently pending together at the NBC. Due to that fact that your constituents entered the U.S. as a K1 and K2 on a fiancée visa and they are applying for adjustment of status under fiancée adjustment, their cases have been identified as possible interview waiver cases and are currently being held at the NBC pending a field office review. The interview waiver cases are being shipped to the local USCIS field offices for adjudication based on field office capacity and not necessarily office of jurisdiction. The current processing time for I-485 interview waiver cases is approximately 12 months from the receipt date. Once further action is taken on this case notice will be sent to the address of record.

I hope this information is helpful.

If I may be of assistance to you with another federal matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

LOIS CAPPS
Member of Congress

Looks like it's official: both K1 AND K2 are NPIW cases. I got a follow up email from someone in the office who said, "if you don't hear back from USCIS by September, 2015, give us a call." I sincerely hope it doesn't take that long!!! I wish this was an April Fool's joke.

Indeed. And I see that they are now at least admitting to it taking 12 months from receipt! :( Seriously, send it to ANY office, and we'll drive there! This is insane. Imperial office, no problem! Sacramento? Ok! Santa Ana, San Diego, Chula Vista, sure thing! Just send it somewhere we can drive to. :clock: I have no problem taking a day off work. We just want this approved so we can start the citizenship countdown.

On a different note: I keep asking my husband how this delay is making him feel (specifically since so many of you are lamenting over not feeling welcome here, agrieved over the delay in petitioning your own relatives, afraid to travel outside of the country, etc), and he feels very chill about it all. This isn't his first go'round since he first immigrated to Ireland. He told me that their process took him NINE YEARS!! So he's ok with this time delay. He doesn't believe that our process is any worse than any other country. Try going to England; apparently they don't even take co-sponsors like the USA does. Although, as a spouse, I can go right away, it appears. Anyway... This is our day. I will keep my prediction at August 1, as we'll be out of the country, and that date provides maximum problems for him and his son. ;)

The last 5 lines in your paragraph is the same as what I got from my senator, except they said 12 months or more for mine. I know this is because I'm going to meet 12 months next week, they are not dare enough to say 12 months.

The SR Tier 2 put in for me on March 24th is still unassigned to an officer, inquiry to ombudsman on March 16th still no answer, my EAD renewal says "my case was received" on Feb 17, did the biometrics on Mar 2.... What the heck USCIS, you forgot about me or simply just ignore me???

Hey guys,

Just a little update on my case:

Uscis received my I-485 on April 8 2014

NPIW letter received on July 10 2014

On January 9 2015 I placed an online service request - no response yet

I called again to speak to a tier 2 officer in February to put in another SR but the 30 days from the first SR weren't up yet. He told me that putting in service requests will only delay the processing because they are being sent back to the NBC for the SR to be processed instead of having the actual case processed in a field office ... But who knows

However, I put in another SR on February 20 with a Tier 1 officer because that day the lines for speaking to a tier 2 officer were already cut off and I didn't want to call back the next day.

Within 3 days the request was completed and a week later I received the very "informative" standard response: due to workload factors not related to your case Uscis anticipates a delay in completing your case .... Bla bla.

I filed for renewal ead/ap on February 24 and they received it on March 4.

I have another biometrics appointment on Friday (April 3) and hope after that they finally start working on my case again.

I also contacted Obudsman on 03/16 and besides the email that confirms that they received the request I haven't received a response yet.

Almost 1 year since filing - it's so frustrating but I know you guys feel the same way.

However, congrats to all of you who already received their GCs or are about to receive it!

Tonight I received email regarding my 2nd SR created via USCIS website on March 4. This SR was assigned for processing and then became unassigned for its second time this morning.

The response looks like a template and is completely helpless (in respond to the last paragraph)

More horse pucky! Don't buy this garbage! The department of disinformation.is at it again...I can guaranty that no case sent to a FO has ever been returned to NBC to answer an SR. That's crud...And no case is delayed getting out of NBC by a SR. In all reality (and this is my personal assessment), I believe that there is a team of lackey "officers" whose job it is to answer these requests. For our cases that's easy. Open up the case number, look at the NOA and push a button to type (or email) the letter de jour to tell you to shut up and wait. Why some SR's actually get answered by your "home'" FO when it still rots in Missouri is another act of disinformation. Our case was answered twice by the NYC FO, as was GusippeG's and neither of our cases even went to this office for adjudication...Ours went to CA, theirs is now in FL (both warmer than we are experiencing now)...GusippeG were even lied to twice that they would be interviewed. And of course they will not be, but I'll bet they wouldn't mind a road trip to warmer clims to interview (and of course stay a while longer)...

The whole purpose of Tier 1 and 2 and SR's is customer service. When these jerks say these stupid things they do us a grave disservice...it's outright wrong and there's enough experience here to prove it.

Liar, liar, pants on fire...we caught you again with your fingers in the cookie jar...
