I was told 2 weeks ago my file was in Atlanta ( my local field office) by a tier 2, they said it had been there since February some time and I put in a SR 2 weeks ago that they say they have replied to but I'm still waiting lol. Mid June we have been married 2 years so I'm wondering if they are waiting for that to give me a 10year GC lol

That's a long time to wait for the green card. I feel so sorry for you, and here I was thinking my 9/10 months was a long time.

How long to expect the green card after NPIW?

It seems the general time is about 6 months after the letter, but some have seen it happen faster. Some however have seen it take much much longer. You don't know how long it will be. But keep an eye on processing times at your local field office. Once you are out of their processing times then send a service request, schedule and infopass and if both fail file with the ombudsman.

If I would you I'd be doing anything I could now to push the adjudication date to after I had been married for 2 years. Pray for an RFE and reply on the last day possible. That was you may avoid ROC altogether.

It means some one just looked at your case and is about to give you a reply. Hopefully it will be a production of a GC, but it could mean an answer of more delays.....

This is breaking me. My AOS is APRIL 16 and NPIW JULY 29. I now have a biometrics appointment for my EAD renewal on APRIL 8. I had to request leave from work for that day coz we need to drive 2 hours to go to their office. This is a very veru sad story.

Don't give up hope yet, it might mean your card goes into production, it most certainly means they know your card is out of processing times. Have you contacted the ombudsman yet? If so I would certainly go down that route to nudge them into the right direction. I am sure your GC will go into production before you go for that EAD renewal! Positive vibes on the way for you!

This is a sad reality for us both. We have identical dates. I have not checked the mail for the biometrics appointment. I'm going to have to make time from work to take my wife to the appointment when it comes. This is all so very inconvenient for all of us. I know it is hard to stay positive, especially when not even USCIS themselves will provide accurate information and they don't seem to care about us waiting for close to a year already.

I already did the ombudsman almost 2 weeks ago never got a response from them. Im making my 3rd SR today if that is still going to matter.

I'm all for positivity shell, but it's so hard. I hope to see approvals today, that would definitely bring up the moral for a lot of us. I remember waiting during the 6 month period for the NPIW, and I felt positive, I felt like no big deal, it's not until thos 6 months were up that that positivity depleted and now I feel like this situation is so unfair, to my wife, to all of you. I remember telling my wife, no sweat, you'll have it in no time. That no time is still unknown.

what I can say to myself now, probably to everyone that faces the same situation, is that sooner or later the GC will be approved and delivered, depending on our fortune...

It seems to me that USCIS approves NPIWs most of time on Friday.
