Well it is offical:

I could say it's about time, but I've said that already. I could say we are happy, but you know that. I can also tell you that I am still angry. Finally got a call from my Senators office about an hour ago and I told the staffer, "Thanks but no thanks." But I did launch into a major league concern for the many of us who have and continue to wait. This bureacratic nightmare (unrelated to the overall immigration question) must be dealt with...

We are happy and it perked up my recovering wife. Now (as soon the GC is in hand) she can start the petitioning for her adult son...and that will take a LONG time...

Thank you all for listening to my somewhat jaded, cynical and sometimes humerous posts...I am also not leaving. This battle must be fought by all of us until decisions are made in a reasonable period of time...

Congrats man

The mystery about why my status was changed temporarily to "we have updated your name" has just been solved ( kind of). My 'welcome to america' letter just arrived and they have used my full name, including a second middle name that I NEVER use. It's not even on my passport. The only thing it's on is my birth certificate, so I have no idea why they decided to add it to my name for this. I definitely did NOT put it on my application form, and it wasn't on my K1 or EAD card either! I kind of wish they hadn't because I don't want any inconsistencies between my GC and my passport. Weird!

I spoke to my congressman's rep on the phone today and she's asked me to file another I-765 ASAP, let her know when I have the receipt # and she's going to try and expedite it.

I also had an infopass scheduled for April 10 but I just managed to reschedule it to this coming Tuesday morning.

My wife and I thank all of you. You've been with us through the process together and you have been there for us when my wife had her surgery last month. You are all colleagues and friends...Life is much easier when you have others who share a common purpose and challenge...THANK YOU!!! We are celebrating quietly tonight. The smile on my wife's face says it all...

Strange story. Rogue agents causing trouble -- again...

Ours is as well. This was the second time in a month and a half where they did not have a marriage certificate. What kind of slip shod operation do they run when they do the initial screening of K-1 AOS's? Huh?

Congratulations!
