I noticed in the envelope with the green card they put in a little pamphlet that offers advice on how to settle in the United States, it goes through things like getting an SSN, opening a bank account, getting a job, getting drivers license, housing etc...it made me laugh really because most of these things are things we did a year ago!

So tier 2 said my wife's application was still at NBC. What a shocker, right? I told her that it's just not fair that we have been waiting so long and other people get their green cards in 3-4 months. I even asked ger to give us an interview if that would speed up the process. She said only applications that require interviews in local field offices, and applications that do not require interview, like my wife's, will remain at NBC, and NBC will make a decision on it. I told her of all the inconveniences we have suffered using Advance Parole and I explained why my wife needs to be able to go back and forth to Mexico. She said she was going to submit an expedite request to see if USCIS will expedite case and I should receive a response in 5 days, and she opened another request for her case to be looked at and see why it's taking so long and I should receive response in 2 weeks. I also called Ombudsman and the lady that picked up had somewhat of an attitude. She said I need to wait, that it will take more than 60 days because they are currently processing cases from January.

You gotta be kidding!!!! If it hasn't moved yet than you are going to see your 1 year anniversary as we are told (and it did for us) it takes 2 weeks to move it after it is requested and 20 - 60 days to approve it, This sucks...I hope that they expedite (Ha! Expedite a case almowt 1 year old????). I am sorry..you guys deserve much better than this or the garbage you get at the border....

THis has got to end...STAY MAD EVERYONE!!

Since when is a year normal? There are people out there that want to sponsor their older children and can't unti they get a GC nor can they get a government job, probably can't claim a lottery win!

Just read Esperdo12 post which says that they are going to make a decision from NBC this email conflicts that information given by a tier 2. I just feel they will say whatever they want to pacify people and get them off the phone. It's all SO inconsistent!

The stated goal for AOS adjudication is 6 months and that has not changed. So much good that does for us. But I guess if you remove Family-based AOS, it probably is. And unless they hire more IO's this is not going to get better for us, it's gonna get worse...

If it hasn't moved yet than you are going to see your 1 year anniversary as we are told (and it did for us) it takes 2 weeks to move it after it is requested and 20 - 60 days to approve it, This sucks...I hope that they expedite (Ha! So, unless they need an interview or some type of ERF then they stay at NBC until approved. In a nut shell is that what these two recent posts are saying from Tier 2 and congressman? So if everything is good then they stay and rot?

No matter what the say, we can only go by experience and that is that all cases are adjudicated at a FO and the rate limiting step is how long it takes to crowbar a case out of NBC. It's that plain and it's just that simple. And until they get a kick in the keister by the higher ups (are you listening Director Rodriguez?)...

FYI..so far I can't make an infopass appointment (like they say we should do) because there are none available at our local office at the present time. It said to try back later. What in the heck?!?

The ironic thing here is Movin On received an email about an info pass stating that they had rung up about one, but Movin On hadn't rang up about making an info pass. Movin On then thought what the heck I might as well seeing as they sent me a random email, only to find out there are no appointments as they are fully booked. Its ALL craziness!!!!! Roll my eyes yet again!

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Wonder how Nlhernan is doing? No word about his GC yet. This process is just such a drip, drip, drip, painful effect that I think I would rather stick pins in my eyes, have a tooth extracted with out a pain killer or suffer from a dose of hemorrhoids! Lol

The drip, drip, drip is curable by a good urologist, but as for the rest of your rather do things...Had 2 outta the three...Ah, NO, I'll pass on a repeat and I hate needles...

How the heck are we going to get our case to a field office? Our Filing/received date is 04/01/14, that is 6 days away for the one year mark. Tier 1 told me that it has been at our local field office as of Jan 4th. Really? Huh..haven't heard a peep except for this last answer to our SR from Feb 25th telling us as of today we should go and set an Info pass appointment, but then i they it tells me that there are ZERO appointments available at this time and to check back later. An when we are able to set appt, what are they going to tell us, that our case is still pending? We just drove to that same place on Monday the 23rd and we both had to take off work for that day and the gas to drive down there on the crazy So. Cal freeways (thank God we made it back alive). BUT now they want to do it again! I'm so tired of all of this! They have no idea what they are putting people through and WE have done it the proper way and we get shoved over to the side. It's just not right. Stay MAD?? Oh yeah I will stay mad don't you worry. End Rant

Well if it is any help (which it is Probably not, because they do things on their own time). I have noticed that things are updated in the morning and then again around 3:30pm PST. So if she is taking care of that today it should be around that time, which is about a half hour from now. Its 3:05 PM (15:30) here. Good Luck my friend!

Well it is offical:

I could say it's about time, but I've said that already. I could say we are happy, but you know that. I can also tell you that I am still angry. Finally got a call from my Senators office about an hour ago and I told the staffer, "Thanks but no thanks." But I did launch into a major league concern for the many of us who have and continue to wait. This bureacratic nightmare (unrelated to the overall immigration question) must be dealt with...

We are happy and it perked up my recovering wife. Now (as soon the GC is in hand) she can start the petitioning for her adult son...and that will take a LONG time...

Thank you all for listening to my somewhat jaded, cynical and sometimes humerous posts...I am also not leaving. This battle must be fought by all of us until decisions are made in a reasonable period of time...

6/9/14 NOA EAD approved

6/27/14 NPIW letter dated same

12/5/14 First service request (Notice did not receive)

12/9/14 Response says the wait can be as long as 9 - 12 months from date of receipt

1/8/15 Second service request on line (out of processing date) - immediate listed unassigned

1/20/15 Talked with Tier 2 - he files General Inquiry to have NYC field offlce request file

1/23/15 My Case states SR from 1/9/15 is complete, response mailed

1/28/15 Written response from NYC office states case "...remains under active examination..."

1/29/15 Written response from NBC from 1/8/15 SR states "...USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case..."

2/4/15 Case arrives at the NYC field office

2/24/15 Third service request on line (out of processing date)

3/5/15 Written response from Imperial, CA states " ...we are not able to give you a timeframe..." for approval

3/27/15 Call from IO in Imperial CA FSO, required marriage certificate, FAX it immediately

3/27/15 GC approved!! One day before predicted date...

4/2/15 Welcome to America arrives

4/18/15 Green Card in hand - AOS journey is complete
