They'll only be transferring I-485 for employment based and asylum applicants but I think this might speed up the process for the remainder I-485s.

So tier 2 said my wife's application was still at NBC. What a shocker, right? I told her that it's just not fair that we have been waiting so long and other people get their green cards in 3-4 months. I even asked ger to give us an interview if that would speed up the process. She said only applications that require interviews in local field offices, and applications that do not require interview, like my wife's, will remain at NBC, and NBC will make a decision on it. I told her of all the inconveniences we have suffered using Advance Parole and I explained why my wife needs to be able to go back and forth to Mexico. She said she was going to submit an expedite request to see if USCIS will expedite case and I should receive a response in 5 days, and she opened another request for her case to be looked at and see why it's taking so long and I should receive response in 2 weeks. I also called Ombudsman and the lady that picked up had somewhat of an attitude. She said I need to wait, that it will take more than 60 days because they are currently processing cases from January.

Not a spam post, but it did get removed. I'm asking an admin for an exception because it's a not-for-profit documentary project.

Hey everyone, yesterday I asked for my congressman's office to place an inquiry with USCIS since our local office is working on Aug. 16th I-485 applications. Our NOA-1 is June 09,2014.

Here is the response we got.

"I left you a voicemail message this morning, but wanted to write a quick note as follow up.

Without getting into too much background: I-485s based on K1 visas are usually classified as interview waiver cases and these go through a different “track” and are assigned to different USCIS offices than cases that require interviews. I share this background as an explanation of why your I-485 is at the USCIS National Benefits Center (NBC) not the Indianapolis Field Office. I spoke with an NBC officer who confirmed that your case is on “track” at this location and shared that interview waiver cases are considered to be within the normal processing time frame up to a year after filing, i.e. June 9, 2015. Based on my conversation with NBC today, I believe your case may move a little more quickly than a year so I will touch base again in approximately 30 days to check on status and to remind NBC that we are monitoring the case. If you have any questions or receive any notices in the meantime, please let me know."

Looks like we need to start the renewal process.

June 11 - "Welcome to America" letter received!!!!!! WE WENT GREEN!
March 10 - Packet sent to CSC
March 13 - Delivered
March 15 - Check Cashed
March 17 - NOA Arrived

I am just shaking my head again! So it seems not only the USCIS are WAY behind the Ombudsman are too! And your case hasn't left the NBC, but can they be adjudicated at the NBC? I doubt that, else Nlhernan's wouldn't be in California right now! I hope this expedite happens ASAP. Sorry that they can't just look at your case and issue a GC!

Since when is a year normal? There are people out there that want to sponsor their older children and can't unti they get a GC nor can they get a government job, probably can't claim a lottery win!

Just read Esperdo12 post which says that they are going to make a decision from NBC this email conflicts that information given by a tier 2. I just feel they will say whatever they want to pacify people and get them off the phone. It's all SO inconsistent!

Thanks for sharing though and good luck with your GC! :)
