Well, it seems that my wait is over, and i was just working on filling the paperwork for the EAD renewal, when i decided to check the status of my AOS "notice of potential interview waiver" and i see the following

"Card Was Ordered To Be Produced" man, i am so happy :dancing:

Good to see you again Shell! Hope you feel better. Yes I am having my daily green as we speak. Looks like USCIS is taking a break though, not many recent approvals. They really need to step on it Fast and Furious style!

Regarding driver's licences: I just did my road test this morning (I had to hold a permit for 30 days, KY doesn't recognize out of country licences, boo) - the licence they issued me is good for 4 years, so it doesn't expire with my EAD/AP. Maybe other states are different?

Filed out of processing time service request with USCIS a few days ago, lol what a joke.

I am so tired if seeing the word pending. It sounds so rude knowing our life together is always pending approval for 2 years now with the K1, and all!

I wrote a week ago to the ombudsman so I hope in the next week they give me some good news! :)

April 18th 2014 - I-485 in acceptance.

June 26th 2014 - EAD/AP approved.

July 2nd 2014 - EAD/AP card arrived in the mail.

August 2nd 2014 - Potential Interview Waiver letter.

Jan 22nd 2015 - Submitted service request to USCIS on delay.

Jan 28th 2015 - Answer to service request that it's still being processed, and apologized for the delay.

Feb 26th 2015 - Jan 26th 2015- Sent in EAD to be renewed.

March 4th 2015- Renewal of EAD received by USCIS.

April 8th 2015 - I-485 Approved / Welcome letter sent.

April 13th 2015 - Welcome letter recieved.

April 15th 2015 - Card mailed.

Well, the AP is lame. They make you sit for hours in secondary processing at the airport. It's probably even worse at major airports like JFK. True. But still usable. Not everyone experiences that nightmare.

With the Green Card you can take the US Citizens lane. <--- This is true?! How lovely for GC holders. Now I really hope that my family has theirs before we travel to Europe in July.

My husband's California license has an expiration date coordinating with his EAD expiration. :(

My NYS license has an 8-year expiry but under conditions it lists "TEMP VISITOR UNTIL 5/19/2014", which is the date of my EAD expiry.

You scored here! This happened to me on my ID card and they gave me four years when I was waiting for my EAD card to come. They corrected it when I got my temporary driving licence though.

I remember researching this when they gave me the four year ID card and I'm fairly sure federal law (The Patriot Act) states that state ID cards/licences shouldn't extend beyond the current expiry date of the immigration ID.

My Drivers Licence was issued til September when my EAD expires.
