Here we sit at the clinic in Santa Barbara, waiting endlessly for my K2's new medical. "INS medicals take awhile." Ya, so does the entire process, thanks.

I called and the agent said the system has been down for the past 1.5 weeks and she couldn't open a request for our case being out of normal processing time...

Medical exams turned out to be super painless, and cheap! Shaun's was $88; Johan's was $100. We brought TB test results from elsewhere, and Shaun's was ready to pick up about 3 hours later. :) Johan will pick his up tomorrow, and we will mail off to Tampa on Saturday. Then it'll be time to pack to leave the country for 2 weeks (with EAD's. Booooo).

Sept 15, 2014: RFE again with handwritten note "I-864A for spouse of joint sponsor" - Kind of permission to use household fund to sponsor

Jun 25, 2015: Emergency AP approved at USCIS Houston

That's nice to have cheap medical. I wish could've TB test somewhere or vaccinations. I hope they will approved soon. Mine was approved a week after USCIS received.

Strangely enough, USCIS sent me an email this afternoon informed my I-485 is approved, a few days after I received the actual welcome letter. And the top of that's my status is changed now, not "fingerprints fee was received".

Nov 16, 2014: Interview waiver letter came, dated Nov 11

Jun 26, 2015: Emergency AP approved (mom left the day after)

Jul 10, 2015: Online status changed to "welcome notice was mailed on July 7"


11 months!

My I-485 was updated yesterday evening, It says welcome notice mailed. please follow any instruction on the notice. you should receive your new card by Sept 7, 2015.

Question: What is ADIT? case update says that after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the notice.

Does the GC receiving really takes two months?

No, don't worried about that. Just follow what the instruction says on the welcome letter. Mine does not say anything about ADIT on my welcome letter. Also not everyone would going through ADIT to get the green card. Please read this link:
