I think you posted this before, and somebody accused them of lying. I do no think that they are lying, at least not intentionally. I think, however that the information that they are able to see is limited and very unreliable.

I wonder what would happen if you contact them again. Maybe the Tier 2 rep was looking at the wrong case when you call the second time.

Have you done a service request?

Yeah Tier 1 people have very limited access to information. Tier 1 reps will only disclose whatever is on the website. It is somehow helpful to people who do not know how to use a computer. It is obvious that everybody here know how to access the information on the USCIS website, therefore Tier 1 reps are useless to us.

I think Tier 2 reps are the same ones that respond to your e-requests. They have a little bit more information about the status of your case and they should be able to see if the case is being worked on or not. Even when the Tier 2 reps have generally more information than Tier 1 counterparts, they have no access to every detail of your case.

I am just hoping that they resolve my case since our case has transfered to my "local office"

I have never been transferred to Tier-2 during my calls or asked to speak to them. But I used hotline number for military members and their spouses. It was short time of waiting, the male agent put all information on my service request after I told him that e-request form did not worked. Five days later a letter arrived asking for I-693 from Fairfax, Virginia.

Yes, you can do the e-request with a Tier 1 representative just like you would do online yourself. Again, Tier 1 people can do everything that you can do yourself on the USCIS website.

Now the RFE 5 days later can be just a fluke or it might have been triggered by the e-request. In neither case the Tier 1 had any influence on their request.

Another thing to take into consideration is that your husband is a military member. I know in some cases such as N-400 naturalization, being a member of the military expedites the process significantly.

I am not sure if your husbands military status will expedite this process for you.

Our timelines are almost similar from Thailand.. I'm just behind a month and still waiting, but now that you got yours, maybe mine's just on the doorstep too.

Received an RFE in the mail today for an expired medical. Who here is surprised by that?! The letters (K1 and K2 both need to renew medical) were mailed from the Tampa Florida office. It's dated June 15, postmarked June 19, and showed up today. We have until September 10 to get the sealed envelopes back to them. Our local office is San Fernando valley.

PS: no change on the uscis website

Also, today is 45 business days since filing a request with the ombudsman. We've never heard from them.

It's dated June 15, postmarked June 19, and showed up today. We have until September 10 to get the sealed envelopes back to them. Our local office is San Fernando valley.

Also, today is 45 business days since filing a request with the ombudsman. We've never heard from them.

we got the welcome letter 8 days after sending new medical....get the exams quick if you can and you just might have the cards before you leave....good luck.

My husband and stepson had their medicals in Ireland on May 14, 2014. We did our part by getting married right away and applying for aos within 2.5 months of the original medical (one week after marrying), so their medicals are 13 months old. ?

I've been calling around. Best we can do so far is next Tuesday for the TB test and Thursday for follow up. Best case scenario is they will be mailed out next Friday. (Sigh).

Received the EAD and AP in 9/15 and 10/15

Received the NPIW on 2/25/15
Received the RFE for vaccines ($325 for doctor and vaccines) as "Notice of Intent To Deny" dated 6/1/15 on 6/5/15. 30 days to respond from 6/1/15.

Express Mail I-693 to USCIS in Raleigh-Durham, NC on 6/13/15. Nowhere near where we live in the northeast. Received by USCIS on 6/15/15.

Approved 6/18/15.

Green card within 3 weeks

We never contacted USCIS.

Online case status has not changed from "Received Fingerprint Fee"...

It WILL happen for you! Stay patient. I understand your agony and pray that you get your approvals quickly.

just find a civil surgeon from uscis website and have an appointment at your closest location. I paid around $700 to renew my medical and just sent it today to immigration. ombudsman is not much of a help
