@dee4321 at least you have an idea as to where are your documents now...in my case I dont know except its still stuck in the National Benefits Center as when they will adjudicate I dont know...the answer still in the horizon....

I am posting here because there is no such thread in the AOS from tourist visa section and I have been following this thread. (I know I am in the wrong place...but I am in the same situation) :) We applied for AOS late July 2014. Biometrics in late August. Then after that we heard nothing for months. No change in status. We put in service requests , just to be told the standard "we are still processing". We contacted the senators office and in April they got a reply that we had a NPIW and they would be transferring our case from Nebraska to a service center. I contacted the senator again and last week they said our case was transferred to the Chicago service center as opposed to our local office in Indianapolis. I have not seen any other cases like mine from a tourist visa that got an interview waiver. Not sure if they just messed up or they have changed the process since they are so backlogged.

This is a new one to me! With NPIW, it's common to go to an office other than your local one. Perhaps your case indicates a change in policy.

. Your time is coming. It'll happen eventually. They filed 2 months before you. Less than 2 weeks before we did, but we're in your boat with no answers.

My parents filed AOS based on my citizenship in Aug ,2014,

Received AP in Oct , 2014,

Potential waiver notice in Dec, 2014

Today June 12, they have received the approval notice and welcome letter.

Congratulations!!!

You should take them out to dinner tonight to celebrate.

Did you receive any emails or texts? It seems like a lot of approvals are happening without the emails or texts.

You should call them today and DEMAND to speak to a Tier 2. They usually have better information as of where is your case located? You should ask them if your case is already being adjudicated at a local office.

Once you talk to them, you should contact your congressman or congresswoman and the ambudsman.

Filed ombudsman march 16th and email them each week. Contacted senator office and basically they told me they only get involved in cases 30 days past 12 months

My experience is the time to get approved really depends on

your local office processing time, since most of the AOS cases will be adjudicated

at local office. no need to call anybody. If it is outside of time frame, go to

local office .

hi Guys,

hope everyone doing well. befor i unsubcribe this topic alert just wanna share this with you guys.

june 2014 filer, NIWP received sep 10 2014. may 13 biometric for EAD renewal. may 26 interview.

abit about interview experienced: the officer was nice. she didnt put pressure on us. interview was quick like 10-15mins. She not even take all documents we bring along (but still better prepare as much as you can) . so if you got interview letter, dont be too worry, i know it hard ( i was too). just relax, everything will fine.

overall, dont stress too much.

when they approved, welcome letter will be in mail 2-3 days. tracking number will be provide 2 days befor you recieved your gc (they send it out with 2 days shipping). gc will be in mail to you 7 days from approval day. first thing i did: update my driver lic & social.

wish you all best of luck & enjoy your new life with your love!

stay possitive!
