congrats my friend!

take tomorrow off work - call in sick and go celebrate somewhere.

---------------------------------------------------------

again, it seems that 12 months is the standard for GC approvals in this thread.

No update to the online status, but I got the welcome notice in the mail today - dated June 5th. Looks like the case will be forever stuck on "fingerprint fee received", but the green card will be here shortly!

Well anyway I had already applied for a renewal of my EAD and AP... My advise to those using the AP.. Bring a copy of you marriage license, employment paystub and work ID as there some countries and some US airports that don't have any idea about the AP.

Good Morning Visajourney!

I have a question I hope somebody could answer this. I renew my EAD last month and today is my Biometrics Appointment but 3 days ago i receive a Welcome notice that my Adjust Status was approved. my question is Do i still need to go for biometrics for EAD? or no need as i'm going to receive my GC within 3 weeks.

Thank You and God Bless EveryOne^_^

first of all: Congratulations!

You are now a permanent resident of the US!

You do not need to renew your EAD as you will be receiving your green card soon (within 3 week)

Would you mind posting your timeline?

Got a case status update - card has been shipped. Yesterday, actually, and it's in the local office so with any luck I'll be getting it tomorrow.

Been quite a journey! days short of a year from application to green card. I wonder if the incessant nagging to USCIS through inquiries, phone calls and the ombudsman helped or if it just ran it's natural course.

Congrats to everyone who has their card, and the recent approvals, and good luck to those still waiting.

Applied in january still no NPIW or interview... I dont know wat to expect?

We never received a letter either, but our K2 did. It wasn't until I did a congressional inquiry that we were confirmed an NPIW. Are you beyond your local office's date? I know an August filer who just got an interview notice. Some offices take much longer than others.

Could somebody help me with this question?

DanieLMelara, on 11 Jun 2015 - 2:36 PM, said:snapback.png

I have one question for you guys.

How long did it take to get the social security number?

once you apply, how many weeks did it take to get it in the mail?

I went to the Social Security Office 1 week after I arrived on my K1 visa, and I received the card 3 weeks later. This was while my I-94 was still valid and months before I got my EAD.

05-18-2022: Filed N-400 online. Received online NOA and Biometrics re-use.

06-03-2022: Interview scheduled (online notice).

06-10-2022: Interview letter received via USPS.

07-11-2022: Naturalization Interview

@danielmalera did I get right... You haven't filed an SSN yet? Did you enter US as K1 or other category?

Sorry there's no timeline information...

My SSN took me 2 weeks to wait from the time I applied and delivered in the mailbox

I am posting here because there is no such thread in the AOS from tourist visa section and I have been following this thread. (I know I am in the wrong place...but I am in the same situation) :) We applied for AOS late July 2014. Biometrics in late August. Then after that we heard nothing for months. No change in status. We put in service requests , just to be told the standard "we are still processing". We contacted the senators office and in April they got a reply that we had a NPIW and they would be transferring our case from Nebraska to a service center. I contacted the senator again and last week they said our case was transferred to the Chicago service center as opposed to our local office in Indianapolis. I have not seen any other cases like mine from a tourist visa that got an interview waiver. Not sure if they just messed up or they have changed the process since they are so backlogged.
