This is a shame to America... It's been 2 weeks now me and my partner isn't taking with one another it all started when DMV doesn't want to give a license instead just a learners permit that I will hold for 6 months... Take it or leave it...

That's it... I'm tired...the USCIS officer told me "You are asking the government for an immigration that is not a right but a privilege so you have to wait"... That's it sorry we are not welcome in here...don't dream anymore of your greencard why not start planning to transfer to another country whose more welcoming and whose laws are more firm and clear.

I had a whole response typed out, then the internet crashed, so lucky you, you don't have to read all my negative comments (and I'm sure I'm not the most popular person on this thread). But I will say this, did you, or did you not, come here for a spouse? The DMV shouldn't have any power over whether your partner and you speak. that's ridiculous. If you don't like the process, then what? Are you going to go home? This is a long process which takes a very large amount of patience. You are here, with your love, and if the DMV tells you that the process is a learners permit, then get one. You waited 4 months to even apply for your AOS. That added 120 days, roughly, to your process. The USA, nor the USCIS is obligated to be welcoming. They're obligated to get through all the hundreds of thousands of applications a year. And even though this group drew the short stick when it comes to waiting, it took NINE years for my husband to get through the immigration process in Ireland. BTW, Ireland is voted the world's friendliest country. But 9 years didn't feel like it to him. Put this into perspective: your reason for coming here was for a person, not for a green card. The green card is a bonus, of course, but so many people are here on visas only. Those using a family-based adjustment are welcomed, even if not in your eyes.

The updated field office processing times are out and our office, Philadelphia, hasn't changed even a day since the March 31 report...what are they doing sleeping?! Still are a few days shy of being out of the normal processing times...guess we are going to have to pay for college, without loans Contacted the senator and received a letter from USCIS. Will post soon. Basically it said don't expect anything before 12 months. So discouraging.

Our local office has moved 9 days in 2 months. I'm hoping it's because of all the cases getting sent there to help with the backlog.

Success! Got an email back from the onbudsman... "Upon reviewing your case again, it appears that USCIS recently issued a decision regarding your I-485 application."

Congratulations!! We got our letter on November 12, 2014 also. Our NOA1 date is August 6th. So not too far from yours.

We asked for a Service Inquiry on my Husbands AOS after getting the NPIW back in Feb 2015 as the website that lists the Processing Times for our Local Office (Jacksonville, FL) was "outdated" and because it does not show Processing Times for NBC center for Family Based AOS I-485's.

We were told we would get a response by email or US Mail and in a few days we got a letter saying our case was being transferred to Los Angeles Field Office!??!???!?? Anyone ever heard of this or had this happen to them? After a Service Request for a NPIW case? He is AOS'ing from K-1.

hi there. Yes, this is quite common. Our NPIW cases get sent to whichever office has less of a workload. Allegedly. About 2-3 weeks ago, we had a whole bunch of people get approved and leave this group. THEY had all kinds of experience to share. I wish they hadn't bailed.

Happened to me... apparently... according to an IO. Did they tell you when it was transferred to that field office?

Did you manage to send this service request as an e-request? e-request is still down....

We called in for the Request and the letter was dated I think a day or so before we received it.

Yes, but only if you have a NPIW. If you don't need to be interviewed, then there is no reason for it to be processed at your local office. It's more efficient to send it to an office with a smaller work load/backlog.

It's better to get an infopass. The guys on the phone are hit and miss. It won't help the processing time... but maybe give you peace of mind.

Hey PCV, we received same RFE 5/28, they signed for it on June 2nd after overnight delivery to Fairfax VA office (we're all the way in Texas) Very frustrating to know we included the marriage cert in our original packet! Online status has never been updated since "fingerprint...." We received our waiver letter 12/31. Hope we hear something soon!!!!!

Same thing here. The field office received the information they requested on June 2nd via Fedex. The only thing I have is the notification of delivery from Fedex.

Our notice was a "Continuance Letter" from the field office. They asked for our marriage certificate. (even though it was included in the original AOS documents).

I sure you are ready to be done with this process also.

That is was we were told by the ombudsman before the request for marriage certificate arrived on June 1st

" The Ombudsman’s Office has determined that USCIS has issued a notice of action regarding the application or petition referenced in your inquiry.

Please contact USCIS at 1-800-375-5283 if you do not receive correspondence within 10 days. Because USCIS has taken action, our office will be closing this matter.

Thank you for giving the Ombudsman’s Office the opportunity to assist you.

We did another medical last Friday in possibly the least expeditious manner. As of today we still don't have the sealed envelope to send away. Beyond frustrating. Especially after getting our eyes gouged out to the tune of $450. This included no immunizations. Grrrrr and grrrr!
