Mymarley, that is my status too ! I- 485 sent on November 21., EAD/AP car approved on January 27th, , Notice of potential interview case received on February 11th !

Congratulations! Go buy a Powerball ticket, because you have extreme luck.

These "lottery winning" GC 2+ months ahead of others tork me off more than early interviews. Maybe there are reasons (expedited?) but they still bother me. It illustrates the smug attitude the IO have for us. They laugh when they do this. After your experience, I know this hurts as well...

Got sick and tired last night and decided to call my Senate office, again, because our case was officially received by USCIS on the 25the of March though NOA was 4/3. I was not happy. They treated me like, what's the problem?...Maybe we should reopen your case? Ya think? It was they who said to talk at 1 year. They say they will call...Yeah and so did USCIS...

I just emailed Ombudsman, told them I needed action a lot sooner. :ranting:

Congratulations, go out and celebrate!

Unfortunately that is NOT the case, as you can see from all the March and April filers on this thread still waiting. You are just one that got lucky and slipped the net instead of festering at the NBC.

Enjoy!!!

Luck of the draw.... I have a sudden urge to regurgitate my breakfast. Happy for the lucky recipient, but what a kick in the :ranting: for all of us waiting for almost a year.

I've gotta agree, I got the email and I didn't bother posting because it's ridiculous, all of us had to wait for a year and some of you are still waiting and then you see people getting approved a month after the waiver letter, not acceptable USCIS..

Sent this to my representative today:

Good morning. I was looking at your website this morning, and I came across this accolade under your "immigration" section: "Original cosponsor of the Reuniting Families Act to reduce family immigration visa backlogs and promote timely reunification of families" I sincerely hope this means you can help my family.
My husband and my stepson arrived here last summer on K1 and K2 visas. Upon marrying, we immediately applied for their adjustments of status (August 2nd), and have been in limbo ever since. My husband filled out a privacy form for your Santa Maria office so that his applications could be investigated. His EAD/AP approvals were outside of the norm for processing times. Now, we are waiting to hear from the San Fernando Valley immigration office (our local office for interviews), and have heard nothing since August.
We have tried to keep knowledgeable in this visa process, but there is little-to-no transparency from USCIS. According to their website, on which we are registered, our only update is from August, telling us that our K2's case was received, and my husband's fingerprint fees were received. Because we are concerned about this visa process, we have joined a forum of others in our same position. What we've discovered is that several (most) fellow petitioners have already had interviews and approvals, with green cards in their hands, but we still sit in the dark.
In mid-November, my stepson received in the mail a letter telling him that he was a potential interview waiver case. This confuses us because my husband did not receive this, and the K2 adjustment is reliant solely on the K1 adjustment. Is my husband's interview also potentially waived? We have no idea, and no way of finding out.
While we feel blessed to be married and living in the same country (finally), this lack of care for green card applicants is taking its toll. USCIS claims to be efficient and to adjudicate in order of petitions received, but we have found this to be far from the case. It's become disheartening to know that there are some people who have been waived the interview (which leads to more time in the system before approval, ironically) have been waiting over a year from filing their petitions to receive their green cards in the mail, sometimes leading to an RFE to redo a medical exam that expired (and costing us petitioners several hundred dollars) simply because the USCIS is anything but efficient!
We chose for my husband and his son to immigrate legally, meaning that we did the K1 route instead of him coming on a tourist visa and just remaining in the country and marrying, like so many others do, and it's, unfortunately, made our process of obtaining a green card take much longer. Had we chosen to have them immigrate the fraudulent way, they would have their green cards already. This alone, is cause for frustration in the inefficiency and unfairness of the USCIS and it's procedures.
We would ask that you please look into our petitions to find out where it is, first, and when we can either expect an interview (preferred at this point to save time), or my husband's and son's green cards in the mail without having to redo their expensive medical exams. It's my feeling, based on others' stories that we are now out of normal processing times. We need this remedied.
Thank you,

Rossa,

I will be honest with you whilst we are ALL happy for you getting the GC sooner rather than later, which we are, saying that there are no rules and anyone can be approved any time could touch a raw nerve to the ones who have been waiting a year. I am sure you can understand that sentiment.

I called USCIS right now, just because I am so sick of waiting. Last week i submitted an inquiry to the ombudsman ...

Tier 1 offered to file another SR for me, but I said no, I want to speak with Tier 2. She said OK, connected me to that...now I am waiting for the call back... estimated waiting time 69 minutes.

I know Tier 2 is not too helpful, but I just to get done with this thing...

Come on USCIS, press those GREEN buttons!!!
