It looks like the backlog reduction initiative also includes overtime! Congratulations!

Is there really such a thing? Are they making an effort to get through it?

Also - is anyone having problems with the e-request? There seems to be a server error. Is there anyway around it?

Yes there is a backlog reduction initiative which started a few weeks ago and since then approval rates have rocketed.

Lots of people have been getting the same error for weeks. It was reported to USCIS weeks ago. If you want to submit an e-request you'll have to call the mis-information line.

Interesting day....we have movement with our case.

Got a response from the ombudsman's office:

The Ombudsman’s Office has determined that USCIS has issued a notice of action regarding the application or petition referenced in your inquiry.

Please contact USCIS at 1-800-375-5283 if you do not receive correspondence within 10 days. Because USCIS has taken action, our office will be closing this matter.

But we also got a continuance letter dated May 27th from the field office in Sacramento that is handling our case now:

Stating that they need our certified marriage certificate because it was not included in our file. (the marriage certificate was sent with the I-485)

No, change on the USCIS website.......interesting

Thank goodness we ordered extra marriage certificates when we got married. Easy fix and now the request document will be delivered tomorrow by 10:30.

June 11 - "Welcome to America" letter received!!!!!! WE WENT GREEN!
March 10 - Packet sent to CSC
March 13 - Delivered
March 15 - Check Cashed
March 17 - NOA Arrived

Here is my GREEN DAY today!!! After 1 year 3 weeks card is on production!!

I'm a May filler with NPIW in August.

On March 21 I contacted Ombudsman's office and still no any response from them!

At the end of April I asked help for Senator and on May 8th my case was assigned to an officer at New York USCIS office. Don't know if it's coincidence or senator's power..

But on May 13th I got a request for new medical.

May 21 new medical was delivered to the NY office.

JUNE 1 card is in production!!!!!!

I have almost the same timeline with you. I filed papers on 7th July, received NPIW on 15th October. And I don't have any movement on my case. Could you tell me how you was able to speak with a Tier2. I think, I spoke only with Tier1. They can only file a request that I have already done without an answer :(

Call the customer service number, wait to talk to a real person, tell him or her that you want to talk to a tier 2 officer, they will transfer you.

Hi everyone,

AlhumdullilAllah, My green card was just approved. I am June 23rd filer. Sep 2014 NWIP. I contacted Ombudsman office on April 8th 2015.

I received reply from Ombudsman office on 30th May 2015. And today on 2nd June my card went to production.

So i assume, it is Ombudsman job. :)

Let me know if you need any further detail.

Thanks

Congrats everyone on their GC!:thumbs:

Just wondering, when is the appropriate time to submit a e-request (6 months after the PIW letter?) and is it advisable to submit e-request before contacting the ombudsman?

Is there any May 2014 filers left without a GC in production notice?

I am getting frustrated. Not even heard from Ombudsman yet. They keep sending generic responses. No RFE, No letter about medical either.
