Time for someone to say they had their GC approved!! Wonder how long the OMBUDSMAN will take? Any one heard anything from them yet?

We need a lot of approvals today. Definitely disconcerting to see people in May being approved already. Finish up with March and April first USCIS!

I just dont understand this!! If we all have NPIW, then they should process these cases in the order received! This is so frustrating to me!!! (I didnt see mention of NPIW on this one, maybe I missed that, I just assumed because of filing date)

Im assuming they received the letter as no date of an interview and it was filed late April, interviews normally take place a couple to a few months afterwards if they are going too. Again no rhyme or reason, but perhaps Derwood got it right, perhaps some field offices are quicker and more efficient than others!

27 April 2018: Interview notice received. Interview Date: June 5, 2018. Request to reschedule sent as out of the country at that time.

So we were there for about 2 and a half hours. Always a pleasure to wait for CBP to figure out what's going on. They never have a clue.

Hopefully once GC is in hand for next travel your wife won't have any issues!

These "lottery winning" GC 2+ months ahead of others tork me off more than early interviews. Maybe there are reasons (expedited?) but they still bother me. It illustrates the smug attitude the IO have for us. They laugh when they do this. After your experience, I know this hurts as well...

Got sick and tired last night and decided to call my Senate office, again, because our case was officially received by USCIS on the 25the of March though NOA was 4/3. I was not happy. They treated me like, what's the problem?...Maybe we should reopen your case? Ya think? It was they who said to talk at 1 year. They say they will call...Yeah and so did USCIS...

This is so frustrating isn't it.

I imagine what happens is that the NBC send a bundle of files to Office 1, another to Office 2, another to Office 3 and so on. I'm guessing the NOA dates in the bundles gets later and later and if Office 3 is quicker than Office 1, later NOA files get approved first. That's my theory anyway.

Dear NBC, please can my file be sent to a quiet USCIS field office, be dished out quickly by an efficient supervisor and then processed expeditiously by a conscientious adjudicator. Thanking you in anticipation of your cooperation.

There's no quieter Field Service Office than Imperial CA with a 7/16 processing date at the end of Jan and we still rot. So much for processing in order once it reaches a FO...

Congratulations, go out and celebrate!

Unfortunately that is NOT the case, as you can see from all the March and April filers on this thread still waiting. You are just one that got lucky and slipped the net instead of festering at the NBC.
