It has nothing to do with Texas or illegals , unfortunately it is just the way it is everywhere in the states , they say that they have small budget and shortage on personnel !! Which mean they have few people taking care of thousands and thousands of applications !! I am in Maryland and i was waiting for a whole year !! I hope we will get the GC in the coming month !1

I agree with you. It does not depend on what state you're. I'm in Maryland, too. I have waited for 10 months And when I called to USCIS, They said that local office in Baltimore proceeds cases dated September 2014.

He is better about it today. I just wish he was greatful. He has his employment card and a job and a car. He didnt have any of that in his country

Enjoy the credit card size green thingy that was the source of all the pain and frustration for the last year...and when you look at it, a lot of the disgust and anger with USCIS starts to fade (though not all)...Engoy your Memorial Day weekend...

He is better about it today. I just wish he was greatful. He has his employment card and a job and a car. He didnt have any of that in his country

IMHO (and that's for what it's worth), he needs to focus on something else, and stop blaming others for his process. That's not right. This is a National problem, not a Texas problem, or even a Mexican problem. His lack of tolerance and understanding is only going to make things worse. :( Like you said, he needs some gratitude. However frustrating this is, at least his life is better here than in the DR. And isn't the goal to be with our loved ones, and then down the list of priorities, the actual green card. As has been stated here many times, for most of us, the EAD/AP card works just fine to suit our needs. Yes, it's an inconvenience, but too bad. The people who work for USCIS don't give a ####### about our emotions. They're paper pushers. They have a stack that grows no matter how they feel about the people represented. Consistency would be nice, order received would be awesome, but it's not personal. It's nothing to do with your husband, or where he's from, or where he lives. It's not personal. His unreasonable lack of tolerance would be a red flag if I was a USCIS employee. Again, just my humble opinion.

Happy Sunday, all. Johan got called into work, so now I'm just hanging out with our boy, waiting to get ready for Prom. :) Oh, the perks of being a high school teacher (yes, it's on a Sunday night. We have no school tomorrow, and as a poor district, we can use the discount a Sunday-night Prom affords us).

Congrats!! I still sometimes have a hard time with the patience this process takes. I'll be very antsy, come August.

Hello folks hope all is well with you this afternoon :) I just wanted to let you know that i got a letter from the USCIS asking me to submit the medical examination I-693 cause the form i submitted with my application has expired ! at least this means they are working on my application , i am wondering if any of you that got similar letter I want to know what kind of tests they ask for and when you submit the sealed envelope , how long does it take to hear from the USCIS ?

I have got a similar letter. Does it say, "please comply with all items marked below to expedite your application", on the first box?

Here's a woman from my August group whose husband just got his approval!

i! Just received wonderful news! I just checked the USCIS website and it reads Welcome Notice Was Mailed!!! My husbands green card has finally been issued! Has any other August 2014 filers received their Welcome Notice yet? Sorry havent checked this website in a long time so I'm not sure what's going on.

I should submit the form to Chatsworth , California . I hope the guys that got it will provide me with further information here . Thanks

It looks like there are so many people getting letters from Chatsworth! That's our local office, and I can assure you, they are very far behind. Not sure why Chatsworth keeps getting all these other applications.
