everyone seems to get a long time to respond, we have only 30 days (New York office) will scan and post here so you all can see it.

Wow, only 30 days? As long as you can respond quickly that should be enough time. Mine is around 79 days.

This consistent approach is what makes USCIS one of the great offices of state.

They assigned my SR and unassigned it again today. Just like what happened to Derwood's couple of days ago. Hope this is a good sign :)

I made a call on May 15th to USCIS and their agent said that he will send my request to the local office where my file is at. I received a letter on May 22nd and asked my I-693 form dated May 18th.

If they respond my service request it means they only need 3 days to check my file and send me the letter. And how odd is that? So they just let the file sit there and just waited to see if someone really bothers to get their file being "touched".

When I called the USCIS, the lady on the phone told me my field office was in Kendall. I received mail yesterday and the USCIS office is in Fairfax, Virginia.

It seems that I can not make a (Service Request) every time I try to submit the same error shows again:

500 Servlet Exception

java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "The service or article

you selected is not compatible with form I485, sub-type selected, and receiptnumber MSC********."

Does anyone knows how to make such request??I tried few options and few web browsers and it gives me the same message again. The last update on my case was November 12, 2014 and nothing since then.

I believe another VJ member called the USCIS technical error to report this fault.

You could call the USCIS mis-information line and get them to raise a SR for you. However, other people with similar timelines to yours are now being approved, so if I were you, I'd sit tight for another week or two.

Thanks, it is just frustrating that there is no timeline and even when we compare us with each others it does not apply. It seems each one of us treated on individual basis and there is no pattern or method to predict what is going to happen. Hopefully I will hear something soon and will give them a call on June 1st if I did not hear anything.

Yes, I had that too and I reported it to the USCIS about that and put service request as well. Better to call them.

Tier-1.

I used Military Help Line since my husband is a military active duty. Probably it was helped me too. I have no idea.

I told my husband about them sending the ead renewal card. He is not happy. He said he probably wont get his greencard till next year. Last thing we need is a notification that a new medical is required. He says its because we live in texas, and there is a bunch of illegals here and that is why the case is delayed.

It has nothing to do with Texas or illegals , unfortunately it is just the way it is everywhere in the states , they say that they have small budget and shortage on personnel !! Which mean they have few people taking care of thousands and thousands of applications !! I am in Maryland and i was waiting for a whole year !! I hope we will get the GC in the coming month !1
