Good morning everyone, another day of approvals is upon us!

Ahh I just got the Update to say my card was mailed! There we go

Holy smokes! I hope that she'll make it through soon!

Is she through yet? I was stuck in LAX for 2.5 hrs waiting to be officially paroled - and I had a green card approved and waiting for me just miles from the airport. If they can't find my green card in the system, I hope they at least found her parole!

So we were there for about 2 and a half hours. Always a pleasure to wait for CBP to figure out what's going on. They never have a clue.

So I just got home from a 12 hour shift and checked to see if my case status was still on "We updated your name" and...

"Welcome Notice Was Mailed" !!!!!!!!

SO HAPPY! I guess they just sent out the wrong status update to begin with and then fixed it. Tomorrow would have been my 1 year anniversary for this whole AOS process, so they just sneaked in under the 1 year mark.

I hope this is the second approval this week of a long list, especially for you Nat&Mark, I think you've waited longer than anyone else here : (

OMG you poor things, how horrible for you both! Glad you are safe and sound!!

I have been to Mexico once and it cost about £60 in visa fees just to exit. I actually remember getting the plane and suffering from food poisoning. Shouldnt have had lobster the night before. 11 hours of cradling an aeroplane toilet, excruciating stomach pain, not good!

Good morning to all! Rough night last night. Waited 2 and a half hours for CBP to parole my wife. I am so fed up with waiting, waiting for USCIS to approve my wife, and waiting every time we go out of the country, which is every weekend. I want to stay positive, but at this point that is very hard. I pray to God we will see many approvals today, including my wife's.

Another day and hopefully loads and loads of people will be getting that elusive Green card today! I feel it in my bones today, although not my shoulder (got a touch of tendinitis) think I over did it with my work out. It's SO painful!

Any way may the GC force, OMBUDSMAN and the USCIS be with you today, especially the old timers!

We need a lot of approvals today. Definitely disconcerting to see people in May being approved already. Finish up with March and April first USCIS!

This is so frustrating isn't it.

I imagine what happens is that the NBC send a bundle of files to Office 1, another to Office 2, another to Office 3 and so on. I'm guessing the NOA dates in the bundles gets later and later and if Office 3 is quicker than Office 1, later NOA files get approved first. That's my theory anyway.

Dear NBC, please can my file be sent to a quiet USCIS field office, be dished out quickly by an efficient supervisor and then processed expeditiously by a conscientious adjudicator. Thanking you in anticipation of your cooperation.

Man, that makes me sick to my stomach-- so sorry you and your wife had to deal with that. Stories like these discourage me from any sort of travel-- I just hope and pray my family back home stay healthy and require no emergency visits!

I want to call USCIS and let them have an earful. I want to know if the application has moved or if it's still rotting away at NBC, but then again I don't want to set myself up for disappointment and find out it has not moved.

To be honest with you, I refuse to ask my wife to put her life on hold. When I brought her on the K1 visa, in her absence, her grandmother almost suffered a diabetic coma. She has to visit her grandmother every weekend to check her medicine intake. Every time we cross CBP makes us feel as if we're inconveniencing them, when in reality it is CBP and USCIS that are inconveniencing us. These wait times are ridiculous! For us, for everyone stuck in this wait. They don't see our cases as a priority to approve, and they want us to put our lives on hold? They can go........
