Thanks to all of you guys for your answers , it really helps to hear from you guys and to know that some people are sailing in the same boat with me I wish and pray that we will all hear good news very soon .

JanetandAdonis : Yes i got a letter of potential interview waiver July 10 ,2014 . told me to wait 6 months and if i do not hear from them i then can contact them ..that is what i did but in vain same answer wait until we make a decision and we will contact you ..Then i did an online inquiry and i got a letter and it has the same answers i got before !!

what difference does the potential interview waiver make in an AOS decision ? are these people who are getting the GC sooner are the ones who did not receive a potential interview waiver letter ? !

Congratulations to all the GC receivers , i am really happy for you and sad for my self I have applied for the AOS April , 2014 and nothing happened until now ? How come people after April are getting the GC ? Does anyone know how this works?!

Well from what I have observed, some of those that filed in March and April were lost in some type of Bermuda Triangle Vortex and they are now slowly emerging from the Abyss. USICS seems to be trying to get those filers caught up. We filed April 1st and just got an RFE on May 8th. So you should hear something soon.

Hey everyone, my card was finally ordered today! I filed April 1st, 2014, got an RFE for an expired medical, did that all over again and finally approved!

YAY!! Finally!!!!!Congrats to you!!! Good luck!!

I am not approved ! I am still waiting just like you and i have just put my fingers today for my EAD renewal cause it's gonna expire Next month ! hopefully after one year (counting from July not April ) I will have my GC

Just received this wonderful letter from USCIS.....Dear applicant, you submitted an !-693 in support of you`re I-485 AOS application. As of June 1,2014 USCIS has limited validity period for I-693 to one year from date of submission. Based on these regulations you`re I-693 has expired. Send an updated I-693 within 30 days from date of this notice. Attention:AOS/USCIS 26 federal plaza, room 8-800 New York,NY10278. Now the damn thing is dated April 22,but with a stamp on it dated May18, "received USCIS mailroom, New York. Also, we never submitted a I-693, only the DS-3025. Does this mean our case was transferred to N.Y.??? IS all we do is get the DS-3025 transcribed to the I-693??? What would we have done if we didn't have a copy here of the DS-3025???Can someone please advise us how we find a required doctor in the chicagoland area? thank you......words cannot describe how we are feeling right now.

The is for a complete medical, like you had before the K-1 interview. Sorry we have one of those letters also. Yes is sounds like your case is at the New York field office.

So this was just a letter? Your case status did not change online to RFE?

As it's closing on a year since applying for a green card, I'm considering contacting someone and seeing if I can claim financial hardship as a means to expedite my application. I do think it'll be processed soon - it's gone to a local office - but I still have no timeframe.

Reasons being:

1) (potentially) Unable to renew drivers license past it's June 18th expiration - my license has 'cannot be renewed' on it which I seemingly can't get rid of without a green card.

2) Can't get a mortgage. Me and my wife are looking for a place to live, and it doesn't matter how many nice places we find we can't get a thing without a mortgage, and can't get that without a green card.

3. EAD expiry is August - I've applied for the extension, but not heard a thing yet. (Hopefully, this won't actually be an issue).

Think it'll be a pointless endeavor or think it might actually help my case?

So this was just a letter? Your case status did not change online to RFE?

yes, no change at USCIS web site, still "fingerprints accepted......also, letter is dated April22, but has a stamp on it also saying rec`d by New York office may 19 but the damn address at the top is ALSO the N.Y. office???

Been thinking about this....so, we receive a letter today but is dated April 22, which is LESS than a year from filing, but the letter also has a stamp on it dated May 18 rec.d by New York office, which takes it to over a year,BUT the SAME New York office is given at the top of the letter. #######.....
