Hello everyone,

So after 13 months without no update, there is... still no update ! Yes, I feel so special :D

But, I just received a response for an inquiry I send on 05/07 :

On 05/07/2015, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Form I-485 Application to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Your Form I-485 Application was transferred to the Philadelphia Field Office for adjudication on 05/06/2015. Your Form I-485 is still pending review and adjudication. We regret that we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will complete the review of your Form I-485 Application.

For the ones who send such request, do you think that's mean they will finally send me an interview date or is it a normal answer from them ?

Yay, congrats!

Thanks!

Now I can finally stop saying that I am imprisoned here in the US. I might even book that trip to Iceland that was on sale this morning. Why not spoil myself and my wife a little?!

Hope everyone receives good news sooner rather than later.

I'm happy for you that you know where your file is, I really am, you have waited long enough for this information! Too long!!!

Unfortunately, on the other hand I am furious that they have replied personally and the reason I am is because the response I received stated that they could not discuss individual cases. LIARS!!!! (Do I need to change my profile pic to Pinocchio again).

I am actually thinking of putting in a complaint as I am so tired of them treating us ALL as if we are brain dead. It's a blatant insult to our intelligence and integrity!

This is the response I got a couple of days ago. At the time it says they can't respond on individual cases, so what happened since? All of the sudden they can be specific?!?! Don't they realise that we share notes?!?! It's an insult to our intelligence and I am STILL furious!

e status of this service request is:

On May 12, 2015, you or your representative contacted USCIS to inquire about your Form I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Your case was recently transferred to a USCIS Field Office as part of a backlog reduction initiative. Due to the volume of cases being processed, we are unable to provide individual responses at this time. We are working as quickly as possible to complete these cases. If you have a particular concern or emergency please make an appointment to go to your local office for an INFOPASS appointment:https://infopass.uscis.gov/.

We hope this information is helpful and appreciate your continued patience.

I wonder if it is because we are not outside the 6 months the NPIW letter says? Seems like everyone who got specific info got the letter before us and are outside the 6 months they told us to wait -_- I just wanna know where my case is!!!

They don't look at the NPIW letter for being out of processing times, they go by the field office processing times. The NPIW, is just a letter to stall us and make sure we don't ring them and ask where our cards are. Personally I feel they will tell us any old rubbish just to keep us from pestering them, they don't have a set policy or set rules! They just make it up as they go along to pacify us!

Doesn't that take the biscuit!!! Shaking my head yet again. Here's the thing, they can send us an EAD card so we can work and pay taxes, but we aren't worthy enough of a GC. How to make someone feel welcome when they leave everything behind to marry an American citizen and want to enjoy their first year of married life!

We celebrate our first wedding anniversary at weekend and one thing I wont be doing is wasting my energy talking about the USCIS that day, they have had enough of my time!!
